Yamaha CLP470 Clavinova With Bench - Rosewood

The Yamaha CLP470 has a full sized 88-key weighted keyboard, with linear graded hammer action. Unlike many of its counterparts, the CLP470 has solid wooden keys overlaid with a synthetic ivory coating, replicating the touch and weightiness of a non-electric keyboard.

Thanks to the next generation RGE sound engine, the CLP470 produces an authentic touch response and expressive sound quality that makes this model a delight to play. A rich sound is delivered by the 40W x 2 speakers (16cm + 5cm x 2).

An authentic playing experience is guaranteed by the four modes of touch sensitivity (hard, medium, soft, fixed) and the linear graded hammer action, mimicking the weightier touch of the lower registers. With three pedals (damper with half pedal effect, sostenuto, soft), the CLP470 is equipped to provide excellent tonal clarity even in the most complex and dense passages. The GP Response damper pedal produces a rich acoustic sound and is ideally suited for flowing arpeggiated passages where precise pedal work is important.

Stylish yet functional, the CLP470 features an inbuilt sliding key cover that is out of sight when not in use. Simply pull out to protect the instrument from dust, spillages and knocks. Due to its Real Grand Expression sound engine, the CLP470 produces a spacious grand piano sound that may be modified with stereo sustain samples, key off samples, string resonance, smooth release and damper resonance. With a maximum polyphony of 256 notes, the model boasts the expressive capability of a concert grand at only a fraction of the cost and space required. There is a choice of 14 voices x 2 variations, ideal for experimenting with split and dual/layers. You can fine-tune your CLP470 by adjusting its 4 reverb settings, 5 brilliance settings and its IAC. Intelligent Acoustic Control amplifies and balances the treble and bass register when played at low volumes, enabling you to enjoy a rich and balanced sound even when playing quietly.

The Yamaha CLP470 comes with a library of 14 voice demos and 50 piano tracks, all preloaded on the instrument. You can record up to 10 songs and 2 tracks at the touch of a button, allowing you to record individual hands separately and then overlap them to play simultaneously. Voice, effect and song settings are all displayed on the 7-segment LED display.

As with all Clavinova models, the Yamaha CLP470 has transpose, tuning and tempo range settings, allowing you to play along to your favourite tracks that are written in a different key, or to provide the piano accompaniment for an ensemble. You can record your performance data to USB flash memory as an audio file (WAV) and store it on a computer to track your progress, burn to CD, or even upload to portable media players for listening on the go.

The CLP470 comes with a headphone hanger and music rest are included. The model has a 45W power supply and comes in two number finishes: dark rosewood and Polished Ebony.
