Fills a gap in the market

We were looking for a keyboard that felt more like a digital piano, but as cheap and light as a home keyboard, and with nice supporting features and voices like strings, synth, etc. Sound impossible? Not with the NP-V80. It's great for intermediate players, who are happy having the feel and sound of a piano without the full weight! The speakers are mediocre, but when connected to external speakers, Yamaha's high-quality grand piano sound shines through.

Initially when I went to the shop I was looking to buy PSR-E433 but when I tried out this one I seemed the better choice. Although I am a beginner in this field I can say it does sound good and the keys feel nice, lots of features, easy to use, it is my first keyboard and I am not having any problem finding my way round.
Great instrument in a lower price range.
Great Keyboard and Great Features

I'd really love a proper piano, but don't have the funds or the space. One day... I was looking for a compromise that I could afford and came across this. It has a keyboard that isn't weighted but feels a lot nicer than most keyboard-type keys- it has a bit more resistance. There are loads of sounds, with great pianos and organs, but with strings and other sounds too. The accompaniments are something I didn't think I'd use, but have found very useful for practice (and for those more 'cabaret' moments). They're actually really good!
The pack is great too- everything you need. Great value, great keyboard, very pleased indeed!
Impressed me for the price

I first came across the NP-V80 in a shop and instantly wanted one. The keyboard feels great and the range of sounds you can get honestly surprised me. I’ve been using it during a few practice sessions recently and it’s also made me extremely happy when used with the built-in speakers which give out a really nice sound. The included effects and USB connectivity (which is really easy to use too!) are simply icing on the cake.
Overall, I’d say this is great for intermediate players and has suited me perfectly.
