Zildjian

Zildjian are not only one of oldest manufacturers of musical equipment, but are in fact one of the World’s oldest companies of any kind. Founded by Avedis Zildjian in 1623, the company was born, from an attempt at alchemy. His experiments resulted in an alloy with resonant, musical qualities. It was at this point he was given the name Zildjian, which literally translates as ‘cymbal maker’, and his creations were used to frighten enemies.

As the market for instruments to strike fear into the heart of your enemies dried up, Zildjian began to manufacture cymbals for the musical instrument market. Today, their cymbals are still among the finest in the world, and played by many of the World’s greatest drummers. Alongside the cymbals, Zildjian also produce a wide range of drummer accessories, including sticks, bags and more.
