This is thanks to its use of additive synthesis and virtual rotary speakers giving incredible sound from each of the five available vintage organ sounds, which are created by the Organ Flutes Tone Generator. These are comprised of: American tonewheel organ, British transistor organ, Italian transistor organ, Japanese transistor organ, and the Yamaha YC-45D.

With nine drawbars and the HQ Mini Keys, which offer action based on Yamaha's flagship Motif XF model, the reface YC offers a professional feel and response, with a natural playing feel.

With direct synchronisation with the unit and connection with Soundmondo it's easy to share your sounds, download sounds other users have created, and to collaborate. If you want to keep your work private, you can use the service to store your voices and playlists without sharing them with the community.

The Free iPhone/iPad reface App

Another extremely useful feature of the Yamaha reface YC Electric Combo Organ is its connectivity with iPhone/iPad and the free-to-download, reface iOS app. This extra allows you to store and recall your voices, and create playlists, where you can arrange and use voices in sequence for a set. Each voice and playlist can be given a name, picture, and multiple tags, all of which are useful when navigating or searching through your library.

You can even turn your voices into QR codes, which can then be sent to others via email or print, and then scanned into the reface app on other iOS devices by scanning the code/s with the camera.
