One thing that can really define a guitarist is the their use of effects. Capable of producing totally unique sound that can throw your performance well into the limelight and making it unique to you. The downside is that as we add pedals, noise from the circuit can build up too. To combat this, Electroharmonix have created the Silencer.
To make the Electroharmonix Silencer fit your rig, it comes with controls for threshold, release and reduction amount. This ensures that no matter what your set-up, the Silencer can effectively kill noise without taking anything away from your desired signal.
The threshold can be set to just above the noise floor ensuring that all of your effects sparkle through whilst reduction regulates the degree to which the gated signal is reduced and is variable between -70dB and +4dB. Finally release controls how long the gate remains open after the signal drops below the set threshold and is variable from 8ms to 4 seconds.
The silencer may have a reputation for calming noise down but it's built to tour with the heaviest of rock bands. The solid chassis, controls and general build quality mean that it can take tons of hammer gig after gig.
Finally, the Silencer comes with input and output connections as well as send and return capability. A 9 volt battery is supplied with the Silencer so that you can begin cleaning your loop straight out of the box.
