The Gretsch G2420 Streamliner Hollow Body Electric Guitar in Village Amber combines vintage styling with modern build quality and technology. The single cutaway design gives you eye-catching style and the incorporation of hollow body design with enlarged F-holes ensures you get that highly sought after 'big body sound'.
Broad'Tron BT-2S Humbuckers
The core of the G2420 Streamliner sound is the pair of specially designed Broad'Tron BT-2S humbucking pickups. The high output nature of these pickups gives you a tight low-end, crystalline high and grunt in the mid-range. To effectively shape your desired sound, the G2420 gives you volume controls for each pickup alongside a master tone and master volume control. Traditionally you would find a balance between the two pickup volume controls only to have to reset when you need to turn up or down. With the master volume you can now set your individual pickups to the volume you like and then crank it or ease off as necessary, a most welcome addition.
Arched Laminated Maple Construction
Hollow body guitars are known for their big sound and the G2420 is no exception. Maple is a highly desirable tonewood and gives you resonance, as well as pronounced bright upper mids and high frequencies. In the low end, you'll find the G2420 well defined and the hollow body coupled with the enlarged F-holes makes this one huge sounding guitar.
The thin 'U' shaped nato neck gives you ultimate playability. Whether you're fretting chords or riffing quickly you'll find it a breeze to play and with 22 medium-jumbo frets, you get plenty of options for sonic exploration. The laurel fingerboard is a joy to play on and the pearloid hump block inlays serve the dual purpose of looking fantastic and ensuring you never lose your way.
High Quality Hardware
The Adjusto-Matic bridge has a secured laurel base to give you rock-solid intonation, standing up to the hardest string bends and wildest vibrato with ease. The Chromatic II trapeze tailpiece 'floats' when the strings are at tension to ensure none of the natural resonance is dampened. Coupled with die-cast, nickel tuning machines you get a rock steady tuning platform that's always ready to go.
