The TW4E Koa is part of Tanglewood's beautiful Winterleaf Range of standard and classical acoustics. With fine attention to detail, Tanglewood has crafted a beautiful Koa acoustic with a rich natural gloss finish. The TW4E is a Super folk scaled acoustic with a superbly crafted cutaway, that is not only attractive on the eye but allows for greater access to the higher notes for those looking to solo. The body is exquisitely bound with mahogany binding and a simple but decorative flourish around the sound hole.
The Koa top, back, and sides provide a clean bright tone, but over time warmer fuller bass notes will evolve from the Koa body providing a timeless quality. The acoustic’s sound will mature alongside your own playing and song-writing. The sumptuous neck is made from Mahogany with a hardwood fingerboard. The nut and saddle are made from NuBone a strong resilient and reliable plastic that aids sustain and harmonics.
The TW4E comes fitted with the Fishman Presys 1 EQ and Sonicare in-built pickup. Allowing you to create accurate studio recordings, a louder live performance or simply practice at an increased volume. You have control over the volume, contour (tone) and phase of your output. The Fishman Presys 1 has a built-in tuner so you will always sound great and be ready to play and battery indicator so you won't be caught short when going live. The Sonicore pickup is simple and discrete yet provides professional-grade output.
The TW4E is equipped with Grover machine-heads, Grover has been providing professional quality machine heads for generations and the TW4E will maintain tight reliable tuning for years to come. The TW4E is supplied with D’Addario EXPII acoustic strings. D’Addario is world renowned for precision wound, high-end guitar strings.
