The Allen & Heath Qu-24 Chrome Edition Digital Mixer is an exceptionally powerful digital mixing workstation in a compact and stylish package. Built using 18 gauge, cold-rolled Zintec steel, the Qu-24 is crafted with strength and resilience at its core.
The Qu-24 is equipped with sixteen AnalogiQ digitally controlled preamps that translate harmonious with the built-in digital signal processing to offer flawless performance, with optimal gain accuracy and audio fidelity. The analogue signal is captured by high-class, low latency 24-bit analogue-to-digital (AD) converters that transmit in exquisite high quality. With minimal distortion, super low noise floor, and faithful audio transparency, what more could you ask for? Oh, each analogue fader corresponds to a mono input channel, so you don't have to dig through several layers to find what you want, everything is at your fingertips and good to go.
The Qu-24 contains 24 mono Mic/Line inputs (spanning TRS & XLR), as well as stereo line inputs that can be routed with ease via their corresponding faders just as with a standard analogue setup. However, thanks to the intuitive Graphic User Interface (GUI) via the built-in True Colour Touchscreen with dedicated rotary encoder, access to all setting and parameters is within easy reach. Partnered to the touchscreen is the SuperStrip, a set of single-function controllers that offer tactile adjustment over gain, high-pass filter, 4-band parametric EQ, gate, compressor, graphic EQ, and pan.
The beauty of digital mixing is having the ability to save and recall Scenes (snapshots) of channel/mix settings at the touch of a button. There are 17 motorised ALPS faders that cover input channels and masters, as well as a dedicated master fader for the Mix section. Custom control is also allowed with regard to ad-hoc strip layout and Input, FX Send/Return, DCA and Mix master assignment.
