In the golden era of the 70's and 80's, analogue synthesis redesigned the the way we created music. New and exciting technology gave musicians and producers new and exciting sound that could be shaped and manipulated like never before. Now, this golden era has returned with more power, control and connectivity like never before in the form of the Arturia MatrixBrute Analogue Synthesizer. This performance machine takes the beating heart of analogue circuitry and combines it with benefits of the digital age to breathe inspiration into your music making capability.
100% analogue audiopath
To generate a pure sound, the Arturia MatrixBrute employs a 100% analogue circuit audiopath. This comprises of 2 exponential VCO's, a linear VCO/LFO, audio modulation and noise generation. Controls to manipulate this audio path are all clearly laid out on the impressive top panel.
With all the superb sounds that you'll create with the MatrixBrute, you have access to 256 preset location memory banks for instant recall of sound - gone are the days of marking up the positions of your controls to achieve the amazing sound you had in the practice studio.
Enter the Matrix
The control panel of the Arturia MatrixBrute Analogue Synth sits atop the 49 note velocity and aftertouch sensitive keyboard and can be tilted to a 45-degree angle, this is ideal if you wish to play sitting or standing. One of the most striking things about the panel is the 16x16 Matrix panel that allows for complex sequencing of modulation sources when using the built in 64-step sequencer. The Matrix also doubles as instant recall of any of your 256 presets.
The Arturia MatrixBrute has connectivity that would make a cutting edge digital synth blush. Full USB and MIDI connections allow for use with computers with digital audio software, any MIDI equipped digital instruments and external controllers of your choice. 12 CV/Gate In/Outs means you can work on the MatrixBrute in sync with your existing analogue gear.
An audio input allows you to run signal through the MatrixBrute and utilise the built in audio mixer to process any other sound source. This includes everything from pre-recorded audio through to instruments and microphones thanks to the line and level adjustment.
The Arturia MatrixBrute Analogue Synthesizer has re-written the book on what can be achieved when you pit a bionic, analogue heart into an all powerful exoskeleton. This is a synth that will never cease to amaze and inspire, plug yourself into the MatrixBrute and push your creativity into the new age.
