Our Roland Planets are hosting in-store tuition once again – In-store ‘Computer Recording Made Easy’ tuition
Having a Roland Planet at a musical instrument and equipment shop provides a number of great benefits to the customer. Firstly, it means that you can expect a huge range of Roland and Boss products in stock and on display, ready to try.
You also have the benefit of a member of Roland staff, on hand to advise and answer any queries about any of the products. One of the best things, however, is that the store runs regular in-store events, which are usually aimed at providing free tuition.
In February, the Roland Planets at our huge Liverpool and Reading stores will kick off the tuition sessions for 2013 with ‘Computer Recording Made Easy’.
Your guide to recording on your computer
Recording on a computer is now the main means of recording and producing music in studios of every level, from the home to the biggest pro studios. There are many reasons for this, but their widespread usage is mainly due to the sheer power offered by even modest home computers, and the fact that most computer recording set-ups can be expanded and tailored according to use via additional software.
If you’ve never done this before, however, even knowing what you’ll need to get started, and then setting it up can be a bit of a minefield. This is where the ‘Computer Recording Made Easy Sessions’ aim to, well, make things easy.
From 16th until 23rd February, you can book a session with the Roland expert at our Liverpool or Reading stores, and find out what how easy it can be to record with computers.
At these 30-60 minute sessions, you can expect to learn about:
- Setting up your computer
- Software installation
- Creation of new sounds with audio and software
- Recording ‘real’ instruments and with microphones
- Creating different kinds of tracks
- Burning CDs and online publishing
Sessions available from 16th – 23rd February.
- Reading – Dawsons 0118 958 1320 – Garry Whitehead
- Liverpool – Dawsons 0151 709 1455 – Mark Harley
