Learn to play at Dawsons Music Schools
At Dawsons, our primary aim is to serve the needs of musicians, and one of the most important ways in which we do this is via our music schools. We have three music schools across the UK, each teaching a range of different instruments. With centres in Altrincham, Reading and Warrington, all are unified in the high standards of teaching they deliver, and the passion of the teachers involved.
Whilst each Dawsons music school offers a different range of instruments, all teach the most popular instruments, Guitar, and Keyboard or Piano. These are taught employing the Yamaha Music School, and Rockschool courses, depending on the instrument being taught. In addition, our Warrington music school is a Rockschool Examination centre, and has recently been named as one of the leading test centres in the North of England!
All Ages Welcome
Although learning to play at a music school, or even just learning to play an instrument, is often thought to be something for the young, you’re never to old to start. Our music schools welcome learners of all ages. And, for those who seem to have a love or affinity with music at the youngest of ages, our Altrincham branch even runs a course called ‘First Steps In Music’, developed as an introduction to music for 2 and 3 year olds, with the emphasis on enjoyment.
Dawsons are, rightfully, very proud of their music schools, and this is reflected in the standards delivered at each centre. So, if you’ve always wanted to learn to play, and have never done it, or have an eager child, yearning to be the ‘next big thing’, a Dawsons Music School is the ideal place to learn.
