IT Manager Vacancy

Dawsons Music are one of the leading retail companies in the musical instrument market. We are looking for an IT professional who is capable of managing the company’s IT platform.

The primary aim of this role is to manage all aspects of the Company’s IT infrastructure to ensure a secure environment within which the business can perform effectively and also to improve our performance through innovative and creative technological solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Utilise the latest technologies to improve existing IT infrastructures, data resources and communication systems
  • Align IT objectives to the overall aims of the business
  • Demonstrate best practice at all times, leading and inspiring the IT team
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify system & data requirements, generating and delivering IT solutions which will enhance and progress the businesses capability
  • Project manage approved solutions, including managing relevant budgets and resources
  • Create, manage and maintain the IT systems business continuity plan
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the security integrity of all company IT systems
  • Ensure IT systems documentation is maintained and is up-to-date
  • Work with and communicate effectively with colleagues
  • Work closely with all areas of the business to support each departments’ IT, system and data related requirements on a day-to-day basis
  • Manage direct reports effectively, supportively and in a manner that encourages personal development
  • Liaise with and manage third party IT suppliers

Key Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Microsoft Dynamics NAV
  • LS Retail or similar retail POS
  • Jet Report designer or comparable BI tool
  • Retail and eCommerce Industry
  • SQL database
  • Windows Server, Active Directory, Cloud Server environments
  • Microsoft Office 365
