Natal Drums and Percussion Now in Stock At Manchester
Our Manchester store now has a fine selection of drums, hardware and percussion from Natal
The drum department at Dawsons Manchester has been steadily expanding over the past few years, and now, it can add Natal products to its portfolio of gear. Natal is one of the most respected British drum and percussion brands. It was established in 1958 by percussionist Alan Sharp, in response to the fact that the products that he wanted to buy didn’t exist in the marketplace at that time.
Sharp was a great innovator, and his fibreglass congas won an army of devotees, with devotees from Fleetwood Mac to Led Zeppelin. In later years, the brand was acquired by that other flag-bearer of British musical equipment, Marshall amplification. Through them, the spirit of innovation lives on, and the Natal range is stronger and more affordable than ever.
Our Manchester store is lucky enough to have a selection of Natal’s gear in stock right now…
Stunning, British-made snares
Like Marshall, Natal is fiercely proud of its British roots. Remarkably, the rather eye-catching, hand hammered brass snares pictured below are made in the UK. Even more remarkably, they are priced at just £239.99 for the 14” x 5.5”, and £249.99 for the 14” x 6.5”. British made!! (*Prices correct as of 15/11/12) If brass snares aren’t your thing, then the beautiful bubinga model next to it may well be. Unbelievably for a bubinga snare, this is just £299.99!
The range of Natal Cajons offer similarly great value and quality. At Manchester, there is a wide selection of the Andante range, both large and extra large, in differing front-plate finishes, with wire or snares. These are priced at just £99.99 for a large size, and £109.99 for an extra large (*prices correct as of 15/11/12).
There is also a selection of hardware in stock, which is incredibly robust and heavy duty, and the stunning Natal Maple Fusion X kit below. Manchester’s resident drum specialist, Dan, has been a bit bowled over by these (and, in fact the whole range), assuring me that the kit looks and sounds amazing, and plays beautifully.
