ROLE: Web Admin
REPORTS TO: eCommerce Manager
LOCATION: Warrington HO

Job Purpose

Responsible for creating and maintaining website content with regard to product information, product promotions and information content.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and upload content for new products as per agreed guidelines
  • Ensure product information is unique, accurate, relevant and offers a high degree of informative content across all data types, including, but not limited to; product name, description, specifications, attributes, price, customer reviews, videos, related products, cross sells etc.
  • Ensure all products are assigned appropriate categorisation – adding and deleting categories as agreed with the eCommerce Manager
  • Effectively maintain product data within the Content Management system, making use of all appropriate features
  • Ensure the process for adding products and information to the company websites is efficient, effective and continually up-to-date
  • Ensure that product promotions are effectively advertised on product pages and landing pages
  • Continuously review the quality of all other uploads, pages, content, graphics, brand use and functionality of the website and feed back information and suggestions to the Web Merchandise Manager
  • Implement agreed actions in line with current best practice, ensuring that the company websites are fully optimised for search engines
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all relevant Content Management features, undertaking training as required
  • Assist with website testing and other ad hoc web tasks
  • Ensure the information on the company websites is accurate, informative, relevant and adheres to the current legal requirements
  • Ensure the company websites provide excellent user experience at all times
  • Support company colleagues to deliver online solutions, where appropriate and cost effective

Key Skills

  • Musical instrument knowledge is essential
  • Web and multimedia savvy, with a real passion for the internet
  • Excellent copywriting ability
  • Competent with HTML/CSS coding and graphics skills
  • Highly motivated, focus on achieving targets
  • Focused attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
  • Able to handle multiple priorities well
  • Able to using a Content Management System (CMS)

Experience

  • Demonstrable experience of creating high quality online copy
  • Recent experience with a Content Management System (CMS)
  • Experience of online retailing, preferably with an electronics or music retailer (although this is not essential)
