Win an Unforgettable Day with Joe Bonamassa

Win an Unforgettable Day with Joe Bonamassa

Joe Bonamassa needs little introduction. Launched into the limelight aged just 12 years old, Bonamassa was asked to open for B.B. King, and played around 20 shows in the Summer of 1989.

Born in New Hartford, up state New York, he was playing guitar almost from when he could walk. Heavily influenced and encouraged by his Father, he was exposed to the likes of Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck from this young age. Unlike his contemporaries, Bonamassa was influenced by British and Irish blues acts rather than American artists. Guitarist magazine quoted him reflecting on three albums that had the biggest influence on his playing: John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton (the Beano album), Rory Gallagher’s Irish Tour and Goodbye by Cream.

Since these early days with B.B. King, Bonamassa has gone on to play with some of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Gods; Stephen Stills, Eric Clapton, Foreigner, Buddy Guy, Steve Winwood, Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks among many others. His playing career has numerous highlights, including performances at the Royal Albert Hall and a Grammy Award nomination in 2013.
