Connect to the BOSS Tone Studio and you can customize each section with over 60 different effect types, changing the order with four different chains and much more.
The Katana-100 MkII gives you authentic sounding tube amplifier distortion, even becoming richer and more responsive as you crank the volume. Unlike a tube amp however, you don't have to worry about getting an ASBO when you play this amp thanks to the variable power control. You can get all that warm tube tone without having to crank the volume to ear-splitting levels, but rest assured when you need the power on stage you can use all 100 watts and get some stunning sounds out of this amplifier.
The Katana-100 MkII also excels as a powered cabinet for your favourite preamp, modeller or multi-effects unit. By connecting to the rear-panel Power Amp In jack you can bypass the preamp and effects, letting you go straight into the Tube Logic power section complete with grab-and-go Power Control and the BOSS Tone Studio, allowing you to optimize for your particular piece of gear with a high pass filter and adjustable gain control. Alongside this you get USB and headphones/recording outputs with mic'd cabinet emulation, so you can get the quality BOSS tone to your DAW or to your headphones when you need to practice quietly. The new Stereo Expand feature allows you to connect two Katana amps together to create expansive and wide stereo sound with just one cable. This means all the stereo-based effects get a new lease of life when output through a dual speaker setup.
