If you're looking for something a little different from your guitar effects, then look no further than the BOSS MO-2 Multi Overtone Guitar Effects Pedal. By employing BOSS' Multi-Dimensional Processing, the MO2 pedal has three differing modes of overtone enhancement. It works by analysing your input signal and applying the ideal effect accordingly. The ultra-responsive circuitry makes real-time adjustments based on incoming volume levels and shifts in playing dynamics, so that the effect adapts along with your performance.
Useable on clean and distorted tones or even bass guitars, this pedal will provide innovators with enhanced tones they could only dream of previously. Whether you're looking to encourage a multi-string resonance that enhances your rhythm chops, or beef up your lead licks with an octaval partner, the MO-2 is equipped to get the job done with finesse.
Intuitive control layout
Across the top panel you'll find four control knobs: Balance; Tone; Detune; Mode Selector. Balance allows you to adjust the wet/dry signal ratio of the output effect. The Tone control allows you to focus the effect's bias from bass to treble.
The mode knob switches between three distinct overtone settings. The MO-2 targets frequency ranges with Mode 1 accentuating higher frequencies, Mode 2 accentuating mids, and Mode 3 giving more power to the sub-octave frequencies.
Detune shifts the pitch of the output, which in turn responds to the mode that you select. In Mode 1, the greater the Detune level, the fatter sounding your overall guitar signal is. In Mode 2, a rotary speaker-like effect is created offering subtle signal modulation. In Mode 3, a chorus-like effect is adopted. The level of effect over your signal is in your hands, and the MO-2 is adaptable across all musical genres. Whether you want a bright country inspired twang, a shimmering bell-like quality, organ-like warble, or greater low-end definition to accompany choppy clean licks, the MO-2 will duly oblige you.
The Boss MO-2 Multi Overtone Guitar Effects Pedal utilises new technology and custom DSP, which is married with the classic Compact Series look and build. As we’ve all come to expect, this piece of kit is built like an absolute tank. Whether you choose a 9-Volt battery or an external power supply, it is easy to power, easy to use, and a joy to play around with.
