Dan Electro

Danelectro captures a cool vintage vibe quite unlike any other brand. From their unique Long Horn bass to the ubiquitous ’50s and ’60s models, there is something about their shape, style and finishes that harks back to yesteryear.

Known in the USA for being affordable, functional guitars that got the job done, Danelectro were used widely by players from country music to rock ‘n’ roll, counting the likes of Eric Clapton, J.J. Cale, Glen Campbell, and Steve Earle amongst them. Across the decades virtually every guitarist in the USA got a Danelectro as their first model on the road to stardom.

Danelectro offer up some gorgeous renditions of those earlier models with modern appointments to make them a dream come true for nostalgia-driven guitarists. There are Baritones, 12-String electrics, Offset semi-hollow body beauties, and of course, that distinctive Danelectro headstock. If you’ve never played one then you are in for an absolute treat because there’s nothing quite like them. Take the ’59XT for example, slim neck profile with generously proportioned fingerboard radius, compact body shape, and a tonal palette that offers versatility far above what you’d expect for the price. Play one for yourself and tell us we’re wrong.
