The DR. Tone DLY101 analog delay pedal combines simple functionality and tonal complexity with astonishing results. Whether you're looking to add a subtle touch of slapback to your signal, or create a monstrous wall of sound, then this little beauty gives you the power to do whatever you wish.

Intuitive controls

The simple layout consists of single input and output jacks, along with a footswitch, and three control pots: TIME, REPEAT and LEVEL. The 'TIME' and 'REPEAT' settings provide enough scope for the any musical situation. Due to the analogue nature of the pedal, you can also tweak the 'TIME' setting while the pedal is in use to create cool pitch shifting delay effects. The ‘LEVEL’ control allows you to set the loudness of the effect, so that once the pedal is initiated, you get the exact tone you desire.

When you're doing your thing onstage, it is imperative that you have reliable and robust gear that can take a bit of abuse. The DR. Tone DLY101 is built to take a beating, with a solid chassis that holds up to the most vigorous of tests. The pedal can be powered by mains power using a 9V adapter, or a 9V battery when mains power isn’t available.

Tone DLY101 is a fantastic analogue delay pedal that adds a tremendous level of sophistication and richness to your tone. Posted on 15/01/2014 by This is a great little pedal. Made of metal, so is as sturdy as anything. It can give you great slap-back, and the long delay gives the whole guitar sound more depth. Put it after a Drive pedal and before a Chorus pedal, you can then achieve a great Pink Floyd sound.
Posted on 18/03/2013 by DR TONE Analog Delay - Have been using this little gem for a couple of weeks now and its been used with my Bugera tube amp. It doesn't suck the tone away like digital pedals does and it’s built solid. Although it takes batteries (nicely supplied) I recommend you use 9v electric adaptor because as it does say you need to disconnect the cables as it drains the battery dry.
Posted on 22/02/2013 by I've had this a few weeks. I agree with Tickle138 that short delays really liven up a clean sound. You won't get those huge delays like some bits of kit, but you will love the pseudo-reverb. If you turn everything to the top it gets pretty lush but the repeats are accompanied by some hiss. The controls are just right and even through their range. The funky green colour and compact size make this a keeper.
Posted on 04/11/2012 by I got this pedal today as my first effects pedal because of the price and now that I’ve played around with it a bit I think that it is a lot better than other delay pedals that are more expensive. It sounds really good and it is really easy to use. It’s not too complicated and looks really cool. In summary, I think this pedal is awesome and is a great first delay pedal if you don’t know a lot about delay pedals.
Posted on 11/10/2011 by I bought my Dr Tone delay just over a week ago from the Warrington store, and I am mightily impressed with it. With only 3 straightforward controls, it is simple to use, sturdily constructed and features a true bypass on/off switch, so there's no unwanted noise when the pedal is turned off.

It has a warm sound to it, and can really improve on your clean tones when the time and repeat are dialled down for a really tight delay. Also when it is cranked up with some distortion behind it, it makes for amazing and soaring lead tones. This is becoming a cliché on reviews for budget equipment these days, but this pedal truly is not just good for the money, but good all round.
Posted on 05/09/2011 by The Dr Tone Delay is very old school and analogue, very reminiscent of the Radiophonic Workshop, but in a good way. What’s not to like for 35 bones?
