The Lester K by Electro Harmonix is primarily designed with keyboard players in mind, providing you with fantastic organ-style sounds or real, rotary chorus sounds for the guitar. The more affordable sibling to the Lester G, this rotary speaker emulator has much to offer, all encased in a sturdy, compact chassis which would even fit in your pocket.
An important and impressive feature of the Lester K is its ability to vary speeds via the footswitch, allowing you to do so with ease. Whether you are playing guitar or keyboard, you can dial in your desired settings in Slow and Fast modes and switch seamlessly between the two using the footswitch. You can also be assured that the metal casing of the pedal can withstand many stomps as you alter between its rotary sound outputs.
There are also dials for Volume, Balance and Drive on the face of the Lester K. The Drive dial replicates a tube-overdrive which gives you a gutsy sound on top of the original guitar or keyboard tone. The Balance control essentially allows you to alter the overall tone.
You can use the traditional, high quality buffered bypass to bring your effects pedal to a stop. However an interesting feature is that you can pause the actual speaker effect without losing your desired Drive and tone (Balance) settings, an incredibly handy feature to have. The buffered bypass switch also works tirelessly to ensure that no signal is lost while the Lester K is in use.
The Lester K includes a 9.6V DC 200 mA power supply for you to plug in and enjoy right away. This is an awesome, compact effects pedal that remarkably emulates the sounds of a Leslie so you don’t have to carry a huge cabinet around with you for realistic rotary speaker sounds, plus, it’s made to be affordable.
