The Elektron Analog Rytm MKII Beat Machine sees their previous effort get an overhaul, with a new state of the art aluminium enclosure, back-lit buttons, hi-res encoders, and massive OLED screen. Boasting the same awesome analogue sounds with precise digital control, the Rytm MKII also throws in sampling capability, which partners with the sequencer to give you even greater creative control over your performance and workflow in the studio, and on the stage.
Analogue drum synthesis
As before, the Rytm MKII boasts 8 drum voices that feature Elektron's unique sound generator, playback engine, multi-mode filter, overdrive circuit, filter envelope, amp envelope, and LFO. Whether you're creating massive kicks, punchy snares, bouncy toms, and shattering cymbals, everything is delivered with the utmost sonic purity.
Sampling capability/sequencing power
The Rytm MKII is equipped with 1GB internal storage for saving samples. Using the pair of 1/4-inch balanced sampling inputs, you can exploit the powerful sampling engine to craft your own unique percussive masterpieces. Pair this with sequencer controls and you have an enviable sound designer at your fingertips. The level of control when it comes to processing and attenuating your sound is nothing short of extraordinary. With a range of backlit buttons - that are purportedly rated for 50 million presses -, and ultra-precise hi-res encoders at the ready, your beat making skills can let fly.
While the analogue heart of the Analog Rytm MKII is exceptionally powerful, the addition of the digital engine is what brings everything together sweetly. Lightning fast triggering from the 12 large velocity and pressure sensitive pads - as well as the ability to change presets instantly without any audio lag - make the Rytm stand head and shoulders above the competition.
The improved OLED screen ensures ready visual access to all presets and parameters so that you can keep on top of your beat production, no matter where you're performing.
The rear panel of the Elektron Analog Rytm presents a plethora of connection options including MIDI, main out, voice out, stereo in and headphone out. There is a USB 2.0 port so that you can connect this amazing beat machine up to any existing gear you have in your rig. Expression/CV inputs enables external hardware control over the Analog Rytm MKII parameters.
The Elektron Analog Rytm MKII Beat Machine is supplied with Overbridge Basic, a software suite made by Elektron that offers an even greater set of tools that allows the Rytm MKII to work seamlessly with your computer. However, for even greater integration into your setup, there is the option to upgrade to Overbridge Premium.
