The Epiphone DC Pro Electric Guitar in Midnight Ebony is a modern guitar inspired by the 70's Del Ray Double Cut design. Despite the old school influence, this is a thoroughly contemporary guitar with practical hardware appointments and a stunning finish.
Beautiful Double Cutaway
The DC Pro features a double cutaway, mahogany body that gives you depth and warmth in the mid-range, smooth highs and is defined in the low range. Mahogany produces a certain grit with excellent sustain making it a great choice for playing rock music and the Triple-A Flame Maple veneer top works in harmony with the body to give you a vibrant tone and increased sustain.
Married to the body is a mahogany deep set neck with 'C' profile for ultimate comfort whether you're playing searing lead scale runs or fretting power chords. The Pau Ferro fretboard is a joy to play on with 24 medium-jumbo frets ensuring you can hit every note you want. The pearloid and abalone block and triangle inlays make certain you never lose your way and look great at the same time.
The Epiphone DC Pro comes loaded with two Probucker pickups with Alnico II magnets. Designed to replicate the classic 'PAF' style pickups, in the neck position is a Probucker 2 and at the bridge, you have a slightly overwound Probucker 3 to ensure those leads licks sizzle. Each Probucker also has a coil split option, activated by push/pull on the volume knob so you can have the versatility of that single coil snap as well as the full grunt of a humbucker.
In addition to the coil tap features Epiphone have also added a 'Treble Bleed Circuit' to each volume knob. You may have noticed that when you roll off the volume knob on your guitar you lose some of the definition of your tone and it becomes muddy. This is because the way a volume knob works is to reduce the amount of current running through it to give you a decrease in volume, resulting in some of the highs being cut. By adding this additional circuit you get to keep the full sound of your tone without losing any clarity, no matter what volume you're playing at.
Rock Steady Hardware
With a 'LockTone' tune-o-matic fully adjustable bridge and Stopbar tailpiece, you get rock solid tuning stability to ensure you're always gig-ready. The patented design features an auto lock so no tools are required to keep it in place.
The bridge and tailpiece work in conjunction with Grover machine heads to ensure tuning stability and integrity. With an 18:1 ratio you get quicker and more accurate tuning so you spend less time tweaking and more time playing.

in some other Epi's I've played. Fingerboard is smooth and the frets are shiny polished!!! I like the size and shape of the neck. So far so good. Coil taps and phase switch added bonus. I like the Graph tech but as well. Quality guitar.I love it!
