The Epiphone Dot Cherry is a rich sounding, vintage style semi-hollow electric guitar that looks seriously classy and plays like a dream. The semi-hollow laminated maple body, set mahogany neck and dot-inlayed rosewood fretboard provide natural tonewood resonance and stability, to underpin the warmth and thickness of the dual Alnico-powered humbuckers. The tone is enhanced by the natural acoustic body resonance that adds a generous depth to create a rich timbre. The Epiphone Dot is ideal for players who want to capture some classic vintage looks and tone, in an affordable hollow-body design that has kept finding its way back into spotlight, finding its place in contemporary music decade after decade.

The humbuckers feature Alnico magnets, which get a strong signal and are a major part of the vintage humbucker sound that makes Epiphone guitars so popular. The electronics include a three-way switch and oversized tone pots, and volume pots that preserve the highs as you roll down the volume. The adjustable bridge, stopbar tailpiece and vintage tuning machines provide excellent intonation and tuning stability. The medium frets, low action and slightly chunky neck offer a really comfortable and expressive playing experience. All things considered, the Epiphone Dot ES335 really does justice to the original Gibson ES-335, the guitar that it is based on.

Authentic appointments from the original ES 335 include a Gibson engraved truss rod cover, orange sticker visible through the upper f-hole and bonnet style knobs. This added authenticity helps to remind players and audiences of the awesome history, and legacy that has been left by this iconic electric guitar model.

Whether you’re new to the instrument, or have many years playing experience under your fingers, the Epiphone Dot 335 electric guitar will delight players of all abilities. The supple feel of the neck is the perfect playing partner to the lightweight body design, whilst the tonewood combination and expertly selected pickups deliver a sumptuous tones palette to play with.

Posted on 16/09/2019 by I had been thinking for a long time to buy this guitar and I finally bought it.
It has been a great decision. It sounds very rad.
Posted on 03/09/2019 by I owned one for 10 years at least went and sold it like a fool going to buy a new one mine had a mahogany block inside it looks like that's changed looks now like just an ordinary piece of wood

Posted on 04/08/2017 by lam a guitar nut and l have always like to Know what string are on new guitar and what to use when you change them .can anyone tell me thanks. Posted on 26/07/2017 by As usual Lee gave a wonderful demo on the various tones and playability that can be brought out of this guitar. Well done folks keep doing what your doing. A.T.B. Jim.
Posted on 26/06/2015 by If there is a better quality guitar in this price range then somebody else is doing something special. I swapped out the factory pickups (which are absolutely fine) with some Bare knuckles. (This is not an affiliated endorsement - but do check them out if you are looking at the Dot as the vintage humbuckers are amazing with semi-hollow bodies! ) The result is I have a guitar which plays better than my Gibson 355 which cost TEN times the price. The Dot looks great, feels great and is full of tone. Probably the only guitar most people will ever need. Buy one and behold!
Posted on 09/09/2013 by I bought my dot in cherry about 10 months ago, and musically, they have been the best 10 months of my life! I couldn’t, and still can't find a single fault with it, I truly believe that the Epiphone dot puts Gibson’s ES series to shame because of its value for money, I’m now after a solid body guitar and I’m turning straight to Epiphone and going for their Les Paul standard plus in cherry sunburst! I would recommend Epiphone any day and so should everyone! :)
Posted on 29/07/2013 by I had admired the Gibson ES335 for years and with Gibson's high priced guitars all round, I knew I wouldn't be able to afford one. When I found that Epiphone did a model of this beautiful guitar I just had to take a look. I did my research and found that it was perfect for what I was looking for. It feels fantastic to play, it sounds brilliant, I haven't found a single fault with it anywhere and I don't think I ever will. This guitar has also helped me a lot in my career and has made its way into several of my recorded songs. All in all, the best guitar I have ever owned.
Posted on 03/04/2013 by I've played many Gibson guitars and I’ve found the Epiphone DOT cherry I've bought sounds great. I found this guitar as comfortable and easy to play than the original Gibson ES335, with a very affordable price.
