The DR-100 acoustic is Epiphone's best selling dreadnought, and with a solid tonewood combination, excellent hardware and powerful tone at an affordable price tag, it's easy to see why. Dense mahogany has been used to craft the back and sides of the DR-100. This creates a resounding low-end rumble and forms the basis of the dreadnought's formidable power. The top is made from only select pieces of spruce, a naturally bright-sounding tonewood that compliments the mahogany perfectly. The combination of the two tonewoods means that the DR-100 has a characteristically well-rounded sound that is great for players across a wide range of musical genres from folk to hard rock.

The DR-100 offers a delicate and responsive tonal palette, which means that it reacts perfectly whether played gently - e.g. fingerstyle players - or strummed hard. Therefore, if you're a solo performer who needs and accompanying guitar whilst you're singing, a solo instrumentalist or play as part of a band or ensemble, the DR-100 is incredibly adaptable.

The supportive and solid mahogany neck is the perfect partner to the luxurious rosewood fingerboard. Home to twenty easily accessible frets, the neck and fingerboard combination offers articulate notes with lengthy sustain, and plenty of snap in the high end. The SlimTaper neck profile makes navigating the entire fretboard very comfortable and suited to both beginners and more practised players. Pearloid dot inlays guide your path along the fingerboard beautifully.

Strong and resilient rosewood has been given the task of absorbing the stresses that come with guitar bridge placement. It handles the job perfectly and provides the perfect anchor for your strings' connection to the supple spruce top. A black pickguard protects the lower bout of the body from unwanted pick scrapes and is adorned with the customary "Epiphone" E.

This model is completed in a gorgeous vintage sunburst finish, giving it a sumptuous and eye-catching appeal. The iconic sloped-dovewing headstock is home to the die-cast premium tuners.

The DR-100 is also the only dreadnought that comes with Epiphone's Limited Lifetime Guarantee and Gibson 24/7/365 customer service.

Posted on 01/03/2019 by I decided to buy a cheap acoustic as I have a 12_string and a epiphone EP200 Elvis Presley that I want to keep mint. This caught my eye because it looked good in the vintage burst ( a bit john lennonish) and it had good reviews and the price was great. I chose Dawson's because I have purchased electrics from them in Manchester and Stockport and they have always provided quality goods and service. My instrument arrived today with great communication so I could be in and I have taken it out of the box and tuned it up and had a blast. Great for those Noel Gallagher acoustic tracks that my missus hates me trying to sing ha ha. Many thanks Dawson's, top notch as always.

Posted on 14/12/2015 by I've been playing guitar for 10 years I've had a few acoustic the playability of this guitar is second to none for a guitar in this price range I don't think it can be beaten the action was good when I brought the guitar but I found a little high so I removed the bridge and there was a little bit of plastic so I removed and now action is perfect about 2 half min on 6 string and 2 min on the the first string and now it plays like a dream it plays like a guitar 2 or 3 times more the £100 pound easily so overall l am very pleased with this guitar to any one on a budget this guitar shows you don't have to break the bank to get a very good sounding and very good playing guitar I have a few epiphone guitar and all are very good guitar thank epiphone from shane
Posted on 23/11/2015 by I bought the Epiphone DR100 as my first guitar and I am so glad I did. The guitar looks really nice and plays better than I expected for the price. The build is pretty good and I also didn't have to do much to set it up when I got it, all I did was change the strings to D'addario EJ16s to give it a slightly brighter sound. It also holds it's tuning really well. Having played Takamines and Ibanez guitars I would say this guitar is fairly comparable and for the price, you are definitely getting a bargain.

I have since bought other guitars but this one is my go to for songwriting and just jamming in the house and if anything ever happened to it I would definitely go out and get myself another one :)
Posted on 28/06/2015 by Picked this guitar up for my brother in law to start learning on. I was actually surprised by the sound of this guitar! Very nice even sound for the price.
