The Epiphone EJ-200CE electro acoustic Guitar is Epiphone’s version of a Gibson classic, the guitar you’ve seen in the hands of everyone from Elvis to Emmylou Harris. The EJ-200CE has an incredibly powerful super jumbo maple body with select spruce top, moustache bridge, gold hardware, and royal crown inlays over a smooth rosewood fingerboard. Beautiful to behold, it has huge sound that is readily amplified thanks to the extremely versatile Epiphone eSonic2 preamp system.

Following traditional construction methods, the Epiphone EJ-200CE is carefully crafted with a solid spruce top, on a big, crisp-sounding super jumbo maple body, offering tonal integrity and impressive dynamic range. Select maple provides a bright character that guarantees the tone has plenty of bite, with a generous level of sustain to stand up to any musical test.

Fitted to the body is a select maple neck, the EJ200 offers a smooth, comfortable playing experience, while still being a very strong and durable wood choice. A rosewood fingerboard compliments the neck perfectly, providing sleek transitions between chords and notes, all the way along the elegant maple neck. The fingerboard is adorned with unique crown inlays, adding a touch of sophistication to this already stunning instrument.

Complete with revolutionary Epiphone's new eSonic2 preamp system, the EJ-200CE provides precise tonal fidelity and superior vibration transfer, giving the guitar an unrivalled electric sound and tone. Capturing a wider, more balanced frequency range, and stunning harmonics, it’s clear to see why Epiphone have adopted their awesome new system.

Plugging and unplugging the guitar can be done without the dreaded "popping" noise thanks to the automatically signal output mute - essential for preserving ears and equipment in the studio and on stage. Rather than using traditional 9V batteries, the eSonic2 uses AAA batteries, which are significantly lighter than their 9V counterpart.

Controlling the electronics unit is easy, with knobs that allow you to carefully adjust the Master Volume, NanoFlex Tone, NanoMag Tone, Stereo Blend, Low Battery indicator and a Phase switch to help eliminate unwanted feedback.

Additional appointments that make the EJ-200CE even better are the stylish rosewood ‘moustache’ bridge, which preserves string tension and sustain, a famous flower motif pickguard adding to the authentic design, and six dependable gold-plated Grover tuners in a 3-a-side formation that upholds tuning with absolute precision.

The Epiphone EJ-200CE electro acoustic guitar is an iconic model that combines beauty and power to perfection. Whether you're a solo performer or you play as part of ensemble, the EJ-200CE gives you the perfect balance and tonal output whether played acoustically or plugged-in. The versatility of the new eSonic2 is matched by its stunning transparency in the delivery of the EJ's sumptuous tones. Once you play an EJ-200CE, you'll wonder how you ever got by without one.

Posted on 29/03/2019 by I received my ej200 today , the pre amp isn't powered by watch batterys but aaa batterys , the only disappointment for me is the bridge , it is just too thick and clunky looking I suppose I can get my luthier to do something about this , im pleased with the guitar other than the bridge , I surely cant be the only person that dislikes it . it plays and looks great other than this . I didn't fancy spending £4000+ on a j200 so this is a bargain
Posted on 19/08/2018 by I bought this guitar at our local shop in Belfast .I phoned the day before and reserved it for the next day and on arriving it had been left over for me.The staff were very helpful and gave plenty of time to get the feel of the instrument. They even kept the cardboard box so I could bring it home in a case and I would have no worries about shopping here again. Thanks...

Posted on 27/01/2018 by This is the second guitar I have bought from Dawson's, my first was a Farida, also a great guitar. This instrument looks and sounds amazing both unplugged and through an amp. I'm very pleased with and proud of my Epiphone EJ200. Thanks to the staff at Dawson's who are so helpful to anyone considering buying an instrument.
Posted on 27/11/2016 by I already own too many guitars in some people's eyes but stumbled across this on Dawson's website. I sent someone to collect it without trying it which was a bit of a silly thing to do in retrospect.
It is pretty much the best guitar in my 'stable' and probably the cheapest. One of my better impulse buys. Great action, sound, looks and the electronic bits are so versatile. I've only been playing for 45 years but I would strongly recommend this beautiful guitar to anyone.
Posted on 25/01/2016 by Could not make my mind up whether or not to have an electric or acoustic guitar. The EJ200CE gave me the best of both worlds. In its acoustic play it delivers pleasing rich quality sounds. Put it together with the Vox VT20X Guitar Amplifier and it opens up a whole new genre in music culminating in a mind blowing rock machine. Jekyll and Hyde at its best.
Posted on 06/01/2016 by Just bought an Epiphone EJ 200 sce on Tuesday, from Dawsons, Belfast. This is a great jumbo acoustic, at this price point. Perfect for strumming and really digging in but also good for both flat-picking and fingerpicking. The neck is particularly fast and very solid. Highly recommended and again thanks to the very helpful staff in Dawsons, Belfast.

Posted on 01/01/2016 by Bought this guitar in 2014 as a step up to something grander. Have just bought another at double the price but can't bring myself to part with this one. Really is a nice looking guitar and if this is your price range I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the sound either. I had a set up done on mine and now it's even easier to play. Recommend Dawsons too.
Posted on 09/05/2015 by What can I say! AMAZING, I am only into my second year of learning guitar but I can bang out a good few oasis songs stereophonics etc.. So I decided to treat myself. I mainly learnt on a Yamaha f310 (great guitar for the money) and a fender sonaron for the same price as this! Which I didn't get on with or it didn't feel right for me.

I have been in shops and played martins etc and nothing felt as comfortable or sounded as good as this and it looks better than the rest, people say GIBSON! Noo.
Amazing guitar, buy one if you get chance to.
Posted on 28/11/2014 by Although I have a number of expensive guitars, Martin, Gibson, Taylor etc I have always fancied the Gibson J200. However, the price of the Gibson was just too much, so I decided to at least "get the look" of the Gibson and purchased the Epiphone until I had saved up. What a beast! It plays beautifully with a rich deep bottom end, sonorous mids, and sparkling top end. How Epiphone do it for the money I will never know. The electronics are truly up to the job as well, and the guitar sound superb through my AER acoustic amp as well as through the PA. Well done Epiphone.
Posted on 29/10/2014 by Amazing guitar, in love with it!
Posted on 25/08/2014 by I was looking for an Epiphone because I think they are the best in terms of value for money. I saw the Dawsons video review for this and had half decided before going to the store. Really pleased with quality of the guitar. I am colour blind so I struggle with LED colours but despite this the tuner is really easy to deal with and I can see the colours well. The sound is fantastic and at the minute I'm using it more acoustically. Got to mention Dawsons service as well though, as I thought it was first class. Good advice and everything exactly as expected and I will definitely buy from here in future. Thank you
Posted on 30/06/2014 by I got one of these to replace my Farida D8 guitar, which was robbed:(

I first looked at the Humming Bird and Dove, but they just didn't sit to well in my hands or feel right when playing them.

I liked the EJ200CE. First it was the look and the fact that it was a jumbo. But once I held it and played around with it for awhile. I loved the action, which sat just right and the tone, which came out as rather mellow, but had some nice sounding mid and bass tones when hitting power chords.

Frankly this is a fantastic guitar at a great price.
Posted on 21/03/2014 by Love the look and feel of this guitar and it sounds great. A lot of guitar for the money I paid for it - sounds great plugged in or not and the built in tuner certainly helps - not that it goes out of tune easily.

If you are considering an electric acoustic - go and have a try of one of these at a Dawsons store as pretty sure you will be convinced.
Posted on 12/03/2014 by With great 'Moustache' comes great responsibility, superb instrument ^_^
Posted on 11/03/2014 by Awesome sound, awesome looking guitar.
Posted on 22/02/2014 by Have to say; this really does feel like you have something a lot more expensive in your hands, the feel and the sound are beautiful. I did change the strings for Exclir 11 gauge and it sounds even better. Cannot fault it, my long-term purchase was just right.
Posted on 11/06/2013 by A really big, mellow acoustic sound. Retains its purity when plugged in. You really can't fault it at this price.

A special mention goes to Martin and Keith at the Stockport branch. These guys are brilliant. They have an in depth knowledge of the products in store. They are really friendly and approachable and are generous with both their time and their knowledge.
Posted on 07/04/2013 by Great service in store and great sounding instrument.
Posted on 09/01/2013 by Got about 6 acoustics ranging in value but thought I’d buy this after seeing so many great reviews of it. Got to say I’m even more impressed than I thought. Such a rich sound when you play and looks brilliant. Honestly don't think you can get a better electro-acoustic for £300.

Posted on 19/12/2012 by The EJ200 ce gives fabulous sound and is great quality. I purchased it for my teenage son, who loves everything about this excellent guitar. The built-in tuner is fantastic for a novice (pity it didn't come with batteries! 2x CR2032). Ordered online using phone on Tuesday evening and the item arrived on Thursday morning, which is a great online service, so many thanks, Dawsons.
