The Epiphone Embassy PRO Electric Bass Guitar in Ebony takes inspiration from a classic 60s model and marries that with modern appointments to create an outstanding model in commemorations of the 60th anniversary of Epiphone joining the Gibson Family of Instruments. From the headstock to the end pin, everything has been carefully crafted to maximise comfortability and playability.
Epiphone Embassy body
The Epiphone Embassy PRO is modelled on the elegant design of the 1963 original, featuring the same slender solid body double-cutaway profile that made it an Epiphone favourite. However, the latest rendition features key design improvements that enhance the playability of the model. The mahogany body features a longer upper horn for better balance to prevent neck drop, making it more comfortable to move around on stage and in the studio. The sleek ebony finish is complemented by a 3-ply white/black/white pickguard.
Comfortable mahogany neck
Joined to the body is a glued-in set mahogany neck, which features a two-way adjustable truss rod to make it easier to set up. The neck is elegantly carved to a 1960's SlimTaper D-profile, which extends along a generous 34-inch scale length. Paired with the neck is a luxurious rosewood fingerboard, which is home to 22 medium-jumbo frets that are decorated with pearloid dot position inlays to guide your way. The 12-inch fingerboard radius creates a flat and easily navigable playground for your fingers to explore.
Powerful and versatile pickups
The Embassy PRO bass is equipped with ProBucker Bass #760 humbucker fitted in the neck and bridge positions. Epiphone have gone to great lengths to ensure recapture the glorious tones of the classic models, which includes German-made Elektrisola magnet wire, Alnico IV magnets, braided coaxial wire, and vacuum wax potting to reduce interference for the smoothest output. Epiphone have even recreated the original Epiphone "barrel" control knobs with metal inserts. The simplistic layout includes Master Volume, Blend, and Master Tone controls that allow you to pull a vast range of tones that covers the gamut from smooth and elegant to raucous and rowdy. Whatever style of music you play, the Embassy PRO can do it all.
The body is home to a modern adjustable Tune-o-matic bridge with 60s style "Claw" tailpiece, which work together harmoniously to optimise intonation and sustain. The sloped dovewing with pearloid "Epiphone" logo features 2-to-a-side premium diecast tuning machines with steadfast 17:1 gear ratio for impeccable integrity.
