The Epiphone G-400 Pro Electric Guitar brings you classic SG performance without the associated price tag. Upgraded for the modern player, this model now incorporates a pair of Alnico Classic PRO pickups with push/pull coil-tapping.

Old school inspiration

Inspired by a late ‘60s SG, the Epiphone G400 Pro Electric Guitar is built to the same dimensions, using the techniques of the era. As with every SG the G-400 starts with a solid, tone-rich piece of mahogany, carved to the legendary, dual-horned shape, which provides balance and kick-ass good looks, along with unrestricted access to the upper frets.

Durable neck and hardware

Glued into the body and making up the 24.75" scale length of the Epiphone G 400 Pro Electric Guitar is a mahogany neck, shaped to the SlimTaper D profile. A rosewood fingerboard lies atop this, equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and trapezoid inlays. This sits between a 1.68” nut and Epiphone’s classic, sustain-enhancing combination of a LockTone bridge and Stopbar tailpiece, while Wilkinson Vintage Classic 14:1 tuners keep tuning stable.

The Epiphone G-400 Pro Electric Guitar improves on previous designs with the inclusion of a pair of their Alnico Classic PRO 4-wire humbuckers. With these equipped, the tonal offering of the guitar goes through the roof, as, along with the humbuckers’ massive range, easily going from clean to crunch, they also feature coil-tapping. This addition really opens things up, allowing you to quickly switch between humbucker and single-coil tones by just pushing/pulling the relevant volume knob.
