Taking inspiration from classic roots - Les Paul's 1952 original - the Epiphone Les Paul 100 is an absolute beauty, which has everything a beginner or a seasoned pro, could ask for, all in one low-cost package.

Classic build

As with all great Les Pauls, the body is masterful combination of a mahogany back - to deliver that thunderous mid to low end charge - with a maple top - taking on the responsibility of tempering the mahogany's power by ensuring the upper range is heard loud and clear - which are seamlessly married together. The heart and soul of the legendary Les Paul tone starts here.

The rugged and reliable mahogany neck, guarantees stable base for the beautiful rosewood fingerboard. The neck is carefully fitting with a tapered heel, this allows the guitar to rest more comfortable against the body, making it easier to play. The fingerboard is decorated with dot inlays, allowing you to navigate up and down the fretboard with stylish a guide. The fingerboard is set to the same radius as even the most sought after Les Pauls - 12". This ensures a responsive yet seamless string bend control, so you can execute licks without having to contend with note drop outs.

Versatile humbuckers

The Les Paul 100 is fitted with Alnico 650R and 700T humbuckers at the neck and bridge positions respectively. Whether you're a: chicken picker, flat picker, sweeper, shredder, tapper or strummer, this perfectly matched pair of beauties will ensure that the sound you're looking for can be achieved with minimal effort, allowing you to get on with what you do best.

The tonal versatility on offer is staggering thanks to the range of controls - each pickup has an individual Volume and Tone pot - whilst the all metal 3-way toggle switch allows you to pull out wailing solo tones, fat and creamy blues riffs and thick rock n' roll chunk. The only thing holding you back here is you imagination!

The strings' connection to the body is as secure as can be thanks to the excellent LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge and StopBar tailpiece. Tuning integrity is upheld thanks to the splendid die-cast machine heads.

Fantastic value and Fantastic performance
Posted on 16/04/2016 by Anonymous It carries a warm, rich sustain typical of any Les Paul with looks to kill. The finish is beautiful (I would recommend the Vintage Sunburst) and sounds incredible through a Marshall Practice Amp. It stays in tune very well and has the looks of a Les Paul. I would recommend this instead of the Epiphone Les Paul Special II - it is more expensive but definitely worth it.
Incredible value for money
Posted on 16/01/2016 by Anonymous This guitar is perfect. It holds it's tuning well, it has an incredible finish ( I recommend the Heritage Sunburst ) and has a very rich tone and good sustain. I would recommend this product with a Marshall amp.
