The Epiphone Les Paul Muse Electric Guitar features a chambered lightweight body and Ceramic Plus humbuckers with coil-splitting and phase switch. A true player's guitar, the Les Paul Muse is designed for playability and incredible sound at an amazing price. Industry innovators Epiphone have been leading instrument design for over 140 years, supplying classic artists like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones as well as more modern guitarists such as Tommy Thayer, Slash and Joe Bonamassa.
Light Touch Les Paul
The striking new Les Paul Muse offers both new and veteran guitarists a lightweight chambered Les Paul body that’s easier to hold thanks to the contoured “belly scarf” and thin rim. The Muse Les Paul is made from rich Okoume tonewood with a Maple cap and single-ply white binding. The hand-set Okoume neck has a Custom “C” profile with an Indian Laurel fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays, a 24.75” scale, medium jumbo frets, and a narrow Graphtech 1.61” nut ensuring this is an eminently playable guitar.
Ceramic Plus Humbuckers
The Les Paul Muse is powered by Epiphone’s new Ceramic Plus humbuckers, the first Les Paul Collection from Epiphone to feature Ceramic magnet humbuckers. The new Ceramic Plus humbuckers feature 18% Nickel silver unit bases, bobbins tooled to exact Gibson specifications, Elektrisola Magnet wire, but instead are powered by high output Ceramic 8 magnets. Ceramic Plus pickups provide high or “hot” output while still maintaining clarity and focus that's perfect for metal and hard driving rock. Ceramic Plus pickups also exhibit incredible sustain, drive, and harmonic content at high volume.
Modern hi-wattage amps are an especially good match with Ceramic Plus pickups, providing all the color and character of a classic humbucker but with the cutting drive that can keep up with intense volumes, fast and super articulate players, and more efficient modern amps. Controls include a standard 3-way toggle switch and standard Les Paul volume and tone for each pickup with clear speed knobs with white numbers. Both pickups also offer a push-pull split-coil feature activated at each volume control to turn the humbucker into a single-coil pickup for even more tonal options as well as a in/out phase switch on the neck’s tone control. The volume pots also now feature a standard treble bleed circuit to maintain clarity at lower volume.
Rock Solid Epiphone Hardware
Like all great Epiphone guitars the Les Paul Muse features rock solid hardware including Grover Rotomatic machine heads with an 18:1 tuning ratio and Epiphone’s standard LockTone bridge and Stopbar tailpiece. No matter how hard you play you can always rest assured that this guitar will stay in tune, with easily adjustable action and intonation.
The Epiphone Les Paul Muse Electric Guitar marks a new foray for Epiphone. With their stark colours and premium appointments these guitars truly are for the player, looking and sounding incredible whether you're on stage or in the studio.
