Since the dawn of rock and roll, the Les Paul model guitars have been considered amongst the greatest in the world. Continuing the long line of innovation Epiphone have now created the most affordable Les Paul model to date - The Epiphone Les Paul SL Electric Guitar. With its lightweight design, comfortable profile, versatile pickups and impressive hardware this is one impressive instrument that is affordable for all.
Comfortable and distinctive
The Les Paul SL's body is crafted from lightweight poplar wood and shaped to a thin profile complete with a single cutaway design that's distinctive, comfortable and allows players to reach the higher notes on the 22-fret fretboard with ease. The neck is created with mahogany and shaped to a popular 1960s SlimTaper D profile that guarantees comfortable playing that will benefit newer players and experienced players alike.
Married to the neck of the Les Paul SL is a smooth, select composite fingerboard that houses the medium-jumbo frets and classic white dot position inlays for easier navigation. Atop the neck sits the matching headstock complete with the classic gold coloured Les Paul signature and silver coloured Epiphone logo.
Ceramic magnet pickups
The Les Paul SL is powered by Epiphone single coil Ceramic pickups including a 650SCR in the neck position and a slightly overwound 700SCT in the bridge position designed for solos. Single coil pickups have been chosen for their tonal versatility when playing rhythm and solos and were always preferred by Les Paul himself. The Ceramic magnets deliver a tight low-end response, smooth mid-range and a slightly more pronounced top end. The characteristics of the tone can be controlled with ease via the top hat volume and tone controls as well as the ability to switch between pickups to achieve your desired sound.
Hardware to last
The Les Paul SL features Epiphone-designed hardware with a "Wrap Around" Stopbar Bridge Combo and Premium Covered 14:1 ratio heads for fast and accurate tuning. This combo guarantees great sustain and tuning that will "stay in" for long performances without issue. If you've dreamed of owning a Les Paul or even if you're just starting out, the Epiphone Les Paul SL Electric Guitar is well worth your consideration.
