The Epiphone Limited Edition ES-339 (also known as the ES-339 PRO) delivers the classic charm of Epiphone's Kalamazoo factory era models, a period in the company's history where they built some of their most coveted models - including the ES-335, Sheraton, and Casino models.

Classic Semi-hollowbody Design

The ES-339 PRO has the style of the ES-335 in a smaller body design, without compromising on timbre or tonality. The chambered laminated maple body is the perfect environment for creating complex tones. Filled with a generous warmth that is infused with a sharpness in the high-end, and softened by a sweet low-end character. In order to prevent the bright character of the maple from overwhelming the tone, a centre-block tempers harshness of any overtones to ensure balance is maintained, giving the ES-339 a delightfully rich output. The centre-block also helps to reduce feedback, whilst increasing sustain. The body has been treated to an eye-catching natural finish.

As previously stated, the ES-339 PRO has smaller body dimensions in comparison to the ES-335, making it closer in proportion to the body of a Les Paul. Do not underestimate the power of the ES-339, it is more than capable of producing an enormous sonic output. The input jack socket has been moved from the front of the guitar to the lower bout, making it less likely to be knocked during performances.

Solid Mahogany Neck

The mahogany neck provides a sturdy and reliable playing support, which is equipped to reinforce the sustain producing abilities of the ES-339 PRO, thanks to the glued-in mortise and tenon neck joint. Shaped to the SlimTaper "D" profile, the neck is incredible comfortable to play, fitting sweetly in the hand for a smooth playing feel. Married to the neck is a 22 medium-fret rosewood fingerboard, adorned with pearloid dot inlays to aid in fingerboard navigation. The single-ply cream binding on the fingerboard and body completes the classic look, complementing the natural finish in style.

Versatile Alnico Classic PROs

Unlike traditional hollowbody models, the ES-339 PRO is equipped to handle high-gain output with ease. Fitted with Alnico Classic PRO humbucker pickups, the expressive timbre of the tonewoods is translated effortlessly. Not only that, but the team at Epiphone has included push/pull coil-tapping abilities via each pickup's volume control. Whatever style of music you play, you have ready access to a selection of single-coil or humbucking tones, all at the touch of a button. The Alnico Classic PROs offer an unparalleled depth of tonal versatility, greatly expanding the power and range of this gorgeous model. Throw the individual tone controls and 3-way pickup selector into the mix, and you have a fantastic gigging and recording setup.

Stage-ready Hardware

Fitted to the body is a LockTone tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, which work tirelessly to create a seamless connection between the strings and body for improved intonation, sustain, and a secure anchored playing feel. The headstock carries Epiphone Deluxe 18:1 tuners machines, which keep the strings locked in position throughout the most energetic of performances.

The Epiphone ES-339 PRO hollowbody electric guitar with natural finish is truly awesome. If you've coveted the classic ES-335, but felt it was too bulky, then this model is for you. Not only that, but the tonality of the Alnico Classic PRO pickups takes the character-filled richness of the hollowbody design to another level. If you're an amateur, then this is a dream guitar to learn on. If you're a more experienced player then you'll wonder how you ever got by without one of these beauties in your arsenal.

Posted on 16/04/2017 by Recently came a cross a guitarist from America, who was playing a Gibson identical to this guitar. I love the style of this guitarist who plays country/folksy-come-light-rock. This appeals to me so much that I went and had a demo of this guitar, as well as listening to Lee's demo.
I bought the guitar, and I absolutely love it. I have another Epiphone guitar that came with an amp, and sounds bloody great.
No qualms about giving a recommendation for this beautiful instrument.
I'm a little lady of 5'2 and the size is perfect, with a deeper and warmer sound than the ES-335.
Thanks to Dawsons for the demo of the 2 instruments. Very much appreciated.
Posted on 13/05/2013 by What a piece of kit for £299, instead of a Gibson for £2500... it's a no-brainer! Plays like silk! Buy one! You won’t regret it!
Posted on 29/04/2013 by I bought this guitar yesterday you could say by accident because I had always wanted an Epiphone LP Alpine White Custom like Justin Hawkins, Randy Rhodes, Tyler Connolly to name a few. So I went to the store and they had sold out, and my father had been trying to persuade me to by something different as I already have and Epiphone LP Standard in Honeyburst, and so I tried this guitar on a Roland amp and my god it was good. The sound you get from it on clean is absolutely brilliant. Honestly get yourself one of these, as well as being as sweet as a nut on clean; it also packs a punch on the overdrive channel too. Absolute quality and so pleased with it!
Posted on 24/08/2012 by This was my first guitar and the main reason I bought it was because I want the Les Paul sound and the acoustic sound that I use a lot; this guitar was just perfect! I strongly recommend this guitar not just as a first guitar but also as a guitar for life.
