The Epiphone Pro-1 acoustic guitar comes with some fantastic features, and every aspect of the guitar has been carefully designed to cater to the needs of beginners. Epiphone appreciates that picking up the guitar for the first time can be a daunting experience, not least because there is the question affordability. But with all Epiphone models, low cost doesn’t mean that you need to sacrifice on quality.

The Epiphone Pro-1 acoustic guitar is packed with fantastic features that both beginners and more experienced players can enjoy. The reduced-depth body is crafted from select mahogany, a charming tonewood that produces warm tones with a delightfully rich quality. The bright sounding select spruce top has been reinforced using specially designed custom PRO-prietary bracing. The reduced depth of the body enhances learning by making the body much more comfortable to play, creating an enjoyable experience for new players, whilst the combination of these time-tested tonewoods delivers a dynamic punch with an enviable character.

The mahogany neck is shaped to an EZ-Profile "C" shape, which is immensely comfortable to play along. The scale length - which is the distance from the saddle to the nut - is slightly shorter than on most acoustic guitars. This means that the 20 JumboPRO frets are closer together, and the strings have a looser feel, helping to keep fatigue at bay when practising. The neck is paired with a rosewood fingerboard and like the strings, comes with Epiphone’s own PRO-Ease solution. This remarkable coating provides sleek and smooth action with a reduction in unwanted string "buzz".

Hit the ground running

Other professional quality features you will find on the Epiphone Pro-1 Acoustic Guitar include 18:1 ratio deluxe tuners, which work with the rosewood bridge to uphold string intonation, tension, and tuning. Chrome hardware has been employed throughout on the Epiphone Pro-1 due to its superb resilience.

Finally, to really get your teeth into playing, you will receive a beginner’s guide to Guitar booklet by Craig Anderton, and access to eMedia online guitar lessons!

The Epiphone Pro-1 Acoustic Guitar is a great package for beginners and intermediate players who desire a comfortable, reliable guitar that produces sublime tones. If you’re looking to get your musical career off to the brightest start, then this model will surely help to get you on the road to being an accomplished guitarist.

Posted on 20/05/2019 by Colour blue looks great on the guitar. One of my fav guitars
Posted on 16/04/2018 by Lovely tone, low action, very easy to hold down chords. BUT - here's a tip - don't press down too hard on the 5th (A) and 6th (E) strings in particular as the high frets and low tension will easily lead to a sharpening of the note. You have to learn to be light on the frets - which is better for a beginner but a more experienced player might naturally press the string right to the fretboard.
One slight niggle - Epiphone might have just gone a little further and put a metal "e" on the pick guard like they do on the AJ200, for instance.
Posted on 27/11/2017 by I'm totally new to Guitars. This is one amazing Guitar for anyone with an amazing loud sound produced. This has steel strings so produces a crisp clear sound. Service I received was brilliant in Warrington Dawson's.
