Low on cost, high on features
Despite the low price, no corners have been cut in the production of this guitar. Epiphone have included their patented LockTone locking Tune-o-matic bridge and Stop-bar tailpiece for rock-solid sustain and fuss-free string changing.
The master volume and master tone controls each feature full-size 500K potentiometers and Epiphone's rugged all-metal 3-way toggle pickup selector switch for long-lasting, dependable performance. The guitar features chrome hardware and is available in Cherry and Ebony finishes. To top is all off, Epiphone has added their patented combination Tone/Killpot control. Turn it and it works like a regular tone control. Push it in and you have a momentary "Kill" switch which mutes all output for crazy Buckethead-like effects.
It's easy to see why the Epiphone SG Special Electric Guitar is so popular and now is the chance for you to own one of these legendary guitars for an incredibly modest price.

Mine was delivered in less then 48 hours even though I ordered it on a Sunday.
I find it easier to play than my "Strat" copy; it has great tone and amazing sustain. I could play it straight out the box - just 2 strings needed a slight retune and they are holding well; intonation is virtually perfect - I lowered the strings slightly just to suit me.
Notes play cleanly and clear; string bending (which I am practising at the moment) is easier on this guitar, as is finger vibrato. I wish had bought this one first to learn on!
Great service from both Dawson's and Epiphone.
N.B. I had not intended to buy this by mail order, as I wanted to try one first but no-one anywhere nearby had one in stock. I chose Dawson's because they put such a helpful review on YouTube.
A very satisfied customer!
I mainly play Heavy Metal and Rock, but this guitar is very versatile and can handle a variety of strings and tunings (the lowest I've personally gone down to is A Standard: AGCFAD) and it handles it fine.
The two pickups are great sounding and provide an excellent tone for both solid rhythm play and blistering solos.
The killswitch is a nice addition (and is one of the reasons I bought the guitar) and adds even more versatility and options to put into play.
Great kit for the price and excellent for people with small hands.
The neck is also very slim, so perfect for people (like me) who have small hands.
Also has a built-in Killswitch for messing around with.
