The Fender 2018 Limited Edition American Elite Nashville Telecaster in Aged Cherry Burst combines classic design with modern performance to create a truly awesome guitar. Nashville and Telecasters go hand-in-hand, with many country guitarists adopting the solidbody classic throughout the decades from James Burton to Brad Paisley. The delightful Tele' twang is synonymous with country hits throughout the ages, and the American Elite Nashville Tele' is perfect for recreating classic tunes or belting out modern hits.
Classic Tele' style
The 2018 Limited Edition American Elite Nashville Telecaster is shaped to the instantly recognisable single-cutaway body profile that we've all come to know and love, whilst custom-contours add a unique flavour. Built using ash, the body produces a warm midrange energy that springs forth, with subtle lows and sparkling highs that bring your licks to life. Treated to an aged cherry burst paint job, a slender yet resilient coating of gloss nitrocellulose lacquer offers protection against premature wear.
Lightning fast neck
Joined to the body is a maple neck, which is shaped to Fender's compound back shape that takes it from a modern "C" to "D" for a natural feel in the hand. A satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish prevents stickiness from impeding your movement for lightning fast performance. Paired with the body is a maple fingerboard, which is home to 22 medium-jumbo frets to guide your way in understated fashion. The compound radius extends from 9.5-inches at the nut to a flatter 14-inches at the heel, which enhances the natural playing feel in the hand. Whether you're fretting complex chord shapes and employing a touch of chicken pickin', you can fly through anything with ease.
The versatility of the Nashville Telecaster is truly remarkable, thanks to the direct-mounted ShawBucker bridge pickup, and a pair of Pure Vintage '64 Tele pickups in the middle and neck positions. As well as offering plenty of power, the pickups respond to the dynamics of your playing style with faultless precision so that every note rings out sweetly. Control over the pickups comes in the form of a 5-position pickup selector, as well as a master volume control, and a master tone pot with S-1 switch. The S-1 switch expands your tonal potential even further, giving you more options to explore.
The 2018 Nashville Telecaster is home to a 6-saddle string-through-body hardtail with block saddles, which anchors each string securely to optimise intonation and sustain. The headstock bears deluxe cast/sealed locking tuning machines with short posts to maintain tuning integrity with absolute precision. You can sail up and down the neck with ease, bending and manipulating strings to your heart's content, safe in the knowledge that consistency remains flawless.
