The Fender Limited Edition 60th Anniversary '58 Jazzmaster Electric Guitar in 2 Colour Sunburst is a faithful rendition of the original Jazzmaster released by Leo Fender back in 1958. From the revolutionary body shape to the versatile switching system, the Jazzmaster remains to this day a boundary-pushing instrument of uncompromising quality.
Stylish offset body
Upon its release, the Jazzmaster was designed to replace the Stratocaster and provide increased balance and comfort, thanks to the offset waist body contour. The upside of the new profile also made it a joy to play in both a seated and a standing position. The 60th Anniversary '58 is built using ash, a tonewood that is remarkably resonant with a sweet sound that delivers highs that chime, a defined midrange, and a resounding low end. The 2-colour sunburst finish is protected by gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, preserving the paintwork for as long as possible.
Durable maple neck
Paired with the body is a sturdy maple neck, which provides a supple and supportive feel in the hand for a fast playing feel. The 25.5-inch scale length ensures that string tension is immaculate and sustain endures beautifully.
As with the original '58 model, the 60th Anniversary Jazzmaster features a rosewood fingerboard. Smooth and luxurious, there are 21 vintage-tall frets at your disposal, which are adorned with vintage clay dot position inlays to guide your way in style. The 7.25-inch fingerboard radius is favoured by many for its comfortable feel.
Vintage-style Jazzmaster pickups
When it was introduced, the Jazzmaster was equipped with single-coil pickups that differed from the Tele' and Strat', in that they were wider and flatter, which allowed them to pick up a wider area of the vibrating strings. The result was a much smoother and mellower output, which was aimed at appeasing the Jazz market of the time.
The 60th Anniversary '58 is endowed with the same style of pickup, with a pair fitted between the neck and bridge positions. The distinctive tone circuitry that set the Jazzmaster apart is present, with switchable lead and rhythm circuits available, as well as a three-position pickup selector switch. Whatever style of music you wish to take on, the Jazzmaster setup has you covered to produce the perfect tone.
The Fender Limited Edition 60th Anniversary '58 Jazzmaster Electric Guitar is equipped with a vintage-style floating tremolo with tremolo lock button, affording the same seamless vibrato control synonymous with the Jazzmaster. The headstock is home to pure vintage single-line "Fender Deluxe" tuning machines. Everything is geared towards to smooth yet resilient control throughout the most demanding of performances.
Every model is supplied with a unique vintage-style tweed case with an embroidered 60th Anniversary logo, and strung with Fender USA 250R NPS strings, to get you up and running in style.
