The Fender 62 Custom Telecaster Electric Guitar is a Japanese-built and more affordable Fender reproduction of the American Vintage 62 Telecaster Custom. That doesn't mean it's lacking in features and you still get the same legendary build quality that you would expect from Fender.
The double-bound alder body and multi-ply pickguard that dressed up the '62 Telecaster guitar distinguished it from its Butterscotch predecessor. This is combined with a classic maple neck and rosewood fingerboard that was originally introduced for cosmetic reasons because maple was prone to showing wear, however rosewood quickly grew in popularity with the warmth it added to the classic Telecaster tone.
The fretboard is then adorned with 22 frets and black dot positional inlays. The modern "C" shape of the neck feels extremely comfortable to the hand and you can be assured of a superb playing experience, even during longer performances.
The Fender 62 Custom Telecaster Electric Guitar comes complete with vintage single-coil pickups in the neck and bridge position. Screaming leads and rich rhythm sounds can easily be achieved. The inclusion of tone and volume controls along with a 3-way pickup switching system allows for incredible versatility and will suit all playing styles.
The '62 Custom Telecaster offers the player a high quality vintage style instrument with the stunning looks and playability of a higher priced model. The Japanese build quality is second to none, making this the thinking man's Telecaster of choice.
