Posted on 16/05/2017 by I've been playing for a long time and have owned/played some pretty awesome kit over the years: Rickenbacker; Guild; Ibanez; Vox; Hohner; Yamaha and Fenders - but this is the best bass I've ever had. It's looks are stunning - I don't use a pick so a pickguard is superfluous for me, the all black appearance without dots on the fretboard looks the business on stage - but ultimately it's about the sound - I've not found anything close not even with active circuitry. As well as playing in a rock band I also do session work for musical shows which require jazz, swing, and contemporary ballad grooves (as well as rock). Apart from a few tunes which require a fretless this is my go-to guitar for everything else.
