The Fender American Elite Jazz Bass Electric Bass Guitar in Ocean Turquoise offers the perfect partnership of classic style with modern appointments. Since its introduction decades ago, the Jazz Bass has branched out from the genre its name was taken from, and has been adopted by players across a diverse range of styles from funk to metal. Whatever your skill level or playing style, the American Elite Jazz Bass is a delight to perform with.
Sophisticated Jazz Bass style
The Fender Jazz Bass is the go-to model for many professional’s thanks in no small part to its exceptionally comfortable playing feel. Built using alder, the lightweight body is shaped with deep double-cutaways that are paired with shapely bevelled edges. Whether you're standing, seated, wearing the bass high or swinging it low, the Jazz Bass body always sits just right. As well as being lightweight, alder also produces an impressively balanced response from rumbling lows through popping mids to crisp highs.
Supple maple neck
The Fender Jazz Bass is equipped with a sturdy maple neck, which is shaped to the compound back shape with modern "C" to "D" profile for consistent comfort along the neck. A satin urethane finish ensures a smooth feel that is free from stickiness and tackiness. The heel-mounted spoke wheel truss rod adjustment enables neck alignment to be corrected with ease.
Married to the neck is an ebony fingerboard, which is home to 21 medium-jumbo frets that are adorned with pearloid block position inlays to guide your way. The compound radius fingerboard plays like a dream, offering the same consistent feel along its entire length.
4th Generation Noiseless pickups
The American Elite series of Jazz Bass are equipped with 4th Generation Noiseless pickups that offer vintage-style Fender tones with noise-free response. From crisp cleans to roaring overdriven tones, these beauties produce a dream-like soundscape for you to explore.
The Jazz Bass is host to a robust 18-volt preamp with active 3-band EQ, which injects increased power for improved signal clarity thanks to increased headroom. The result is a confident output without unwanted noise from affecting the integrity of your tone. Control comes in the form of a Master Volume pot, a Pan Pot (pickup selector), a Treble Boost/Cut, Midrange Boost/Cut, Bass Boost/Cut, and an Active/Passive mini-toggle switch. Whatever style of music that you perform, if you can't find the right tone with this setup, you may never find it.
The body is home to a 4-saddle hi-mass vintage bridge, which anchors each string securely to optimise intonation and sustain. The headstock is equipped with Fender "F" lightweight vintage paddle keys with tapered shafts, which uphold tuning integrity with precision throughout the most demanding of performances. The lower bout is protected by a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard from unwanted nicks and scrapes.
Each Fender American Elite Jazz Bass Electric Bass Guitar in Ocean Turquoise is supplied with its very own Elite series moulded case to protect your new pride and joy, wherever your music takes you.
