The history of the Fender Telecaster dates right back to the 1950s and over the years Fender have added some new appointments to continually remodel this superb electric guitar. The US-built Fender American Elite Telecaster is an ideal companion for a live musician thanks to some modern enhancements to improve the overall sound, and the finish of the guitar is as eye-catching as ever. The American Elite series is built to please, and follows on from decades of top quality Fender handiwork.
A common feature of the Fender Telecaster is its solidbody construction, and the body of the American Elite is made entirely of alder. The Telecaster is often seen as a real workhorse of a guitar and Fender have kept with this custom in ensuring that the American Elite has a sturdy construction while retaining a classy appearance. The American Elite Telecaster keeps the single cutaway body design but now also incorporates a deeper contour in the back, allowing for an ultimately comfortable playing feel.
The body is given a protective gloss polyurethane layer over the Butterscotch Blonde finish, safeguarding the lustrous finish of the guitar for the future.
MAPLE NECK AND FINGERBOARD
A maple neck is resolutely joined to the body of the American Elite Telecaster and given a satin urethane finish which feels incredibly smooth in your hand. The lighter colour of the maple looks alluring alongside the Butterscotch Blonde body. To further improve the playing feel, Fender have chosen a modern “C” to “D” profile combined with a compound back shape, which promotes a faster playing style. An improved component of the American Elite series is the neck heel which, with the single cutaway body, allows for easy access to the upper frets.
For this model, Fender have employed maple to construct the fingerboard and it has been allotted with 22 medium jumbo frets for you to relish. Large black pearloid dots embellish the fingerboard and guide you up and down the frets with confidence. Should you choose to adjust the neck relief to suit your playing needs, this is easily done thanks to the truss rod heel-mounted spoke wheel found at the bottom of the fretboard where the neck meets the body.
4TH GENERATION NOISELESS PICKUPS
The American Elite series of guitars are equipped with new 4th Generation Noiseless pickups, featured at the neck and bridge positions. A primary advantage of these pickups is that, due to their intricate design, they effectively cut out any unwanted humming or noise which often occurs during a live performance, thus giving you a coherent, seamless output.
A 3-position blade switch allows you to switch between pickups, while the Master Volume, and Master No-Load Tone and S-1 push switch controls enable you to reshape your sound.
HARDWARE AND FINISH
A 6-saddle American Tele bridge with chromed brass saddles is fitted to the lower bout of the guitar, increasing the sustain and improving your tone.
The Fender headstock features deluxe cast sealed locking tuners which further prevent any buzzing noises while also keeping tuning precise.
The Fender American Elite Telecaster with a Maple Neck is yet another exquisite model designed by Fender, with outstanding sound and appearance at the forefront of its entity.
