The Fender American Original 60s Jazzmaster Guitar in 3-Colour Sunburst resurrects the classic look, sound, and feel of the original in all its glory. From the period-correct features to the intricate switching system, the American Original 60s Jazzmaster takes you back to that experimental, boundary-pushing time in music, and gives you the ultimate tool to carve out your own musical future.
Offset Jazzmaster body
The American Original is built to the same distinctive Jazzmaster shape, with that ergonomic offset-waist that was designed to accommodate players in both a seated or a standing position. Built using alder - a Fender favourite -, the Jazzmaster is retains a lightweight and easy to wield feel with bevelled edges that allow it to be cradled in comfort. The well-balanced tones produced by alder make it a highly versatile tonewood, enabling thumping mid-to-lower-mids to be pulled for chunky riffs, as well as scorching hot highs with an articulate attack.
Mid-'60s neck shape
Paired with the body is a stable maple neck, which is shaped to a mid-'60s "C" profile that creates a substantial yet manageable feel in the hand. The 25.5-inch scale length ensures that string tension is immaculate and sustain endures beautifully.
The Jazzmaster was the first Fender guitar to use rosewood for the fingerboard, and this is the same luxurious tonewood used in the American Original '60s. This beautiful playing surface has a 9.5-inch radius and is decorated with white dot inlays. The fingerboard is home to 21 vintage-tall frets, which ensure that string bends feel seamless and fretting chords is a breeze.
Pure Vintage electronics
As with other American Original models, Fender went to great lengths to recreate the response and sound produced by the pickups. From the wiring and materials used, to the elaborate circuitry and switching options, the Pure Vintage '65 single-coil Jazzmaster pickups offer the closest representation of that coveted '60s model. Even the pickups' pole pieces are flush-mounted just like the original.
The distinctive tone circuitry that set the Jazzmaster apart is present, with switchable lead and rhythm circuits available, as well as a three-position pickup selector switch. Whatever style of music you wish to take on, the Jazzmaster setup has you covered to produce the perfect tone.
The Fender American Original 60s Jazzmaster is equipped with vintage-style floating tremolo, which features a tremolo lock button and push-in tremolo arm for seamless vibrato control. The headstock is home to pure vintage single-line "Fender Deluxe" tuning machines. Everything is geared towards to smooth yet resilient control throughout the most demanding of performances.
Every model is supplied with a deluxe brown hardshell case with gold interior to get you to and from gigs in style.
