The Fender American Performer Stratocaster Electric Guitar continues Fender's innovative legacy for the next generation of guitarists to enjoy. Hailing from their Corona, California factory and equipped with a range of upgraded appointments - counting newly designed Yosemite pickups amongst them -, the American Performer Strat' is a force to be reckoned with. Each model is supplied with a deluxe gig bag to get you out and performing in no time at all.
Classic Strat style
The American Performer Stratocaster body is built using a Fender favourite in alder, a lightweight and tonally balanced tonewood that plays beautifully. The sleek and slender double-cutaway body shape with softly bevelled edges establishes a delightfully comfortable playing feel. The gloss finish protects the paintwork against unwanted blemishes and allows the guitar to age gracefully over time.
Comfortable neck design
Joined to the body is a cool maple neck, which has been treated to a satin polyurethane finish for a lightning fast feel. The modern "C" neck profile heightens the comfortable playing experience, whilst the generous 25.5-inch scale length promotes a bright and articulate response from each string. Paired with the neck is a luxurious rosewood fingerboard, which is home to 22 frets that are adorned with dot position inlays to guide your way. The sleek 9.5-inch fingerboard radius allows your fingers to roam with total freedom, allowing you to lay down deft technique with ease.
A unique addition to the American Performer series is the Fender Yosemite single-coils, which further the guitar giant's prowess for designing impeccable pickups. The Yosemite single-coils produce rich tones that respond to the dynamics of your playing style for enviably expressive tones. With flat-staggered pole piece that release increased output and a shellac coating that enables the coils to "breathe" whilst controlling feedback, these beauties have something to offer just about everyone. Whether you're tackling some clean pop-inspired licks, raucous riffs, or saturated solos, they can turn their hand to just about anything. The addition of a Greasebucket tone control allows you to dial back the high-end brightness without losing any gain for beefy mid to low-end power.
The late-'60s/'70s-style headstock is home to some masterfully crafted ClassicGear tuning machines. Each one is individually anchored with a nut of the front of the headstock and endowed with an astonishing 18:1 gear ratio to give them outstanding performance. No matter how enthusiastically you rock out you can rest assured that adjustments can be executed with the smoothest action. The 6-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo responds to the subtle nuances of your vibrato technique, enabling you to produce delicate flourishes with minimal effort.
