The Fender Blues Junior IV Guitar Amplifier Combo is a diminutively sized amp that packs a mighty punch. Boasting Fender's spring reverb and tube-driven tones that are saturated with warmth, the Blues Junior IV is a must for guitarists who are taking to the stage or recording in the studio. Whatever style of music you play, this versatile little beauty has you covered.

Raw tube power

The Fender Blues Junior IV is equipped with three 12AX7 tubes in the preamp, which generate a mighty energy that can take your signal anywhere from glassy cleans to crushing overdrive. The power amp has a pair of EL84s that can help you to push your tone right over the edge. Whether you're laying down to tight country licks, performing chunky blues grooves, letting loose with some funk, hitting hard with punk, or riffing through some hard rock, you can dial in the perfect tone with ease.

The built-in FAT boost injects even more power into your tone, and thanks its footswitchable capability, you can kick it or out as and when you wish for a truly dynamic performance.

Celestion A-Type speaker

The Blues Junior IV is equipped with a Celestion A-Type speaker, which offers the same intensity we've come to expect from a Celestion, with a laid-back midrange that is flanked by a subtle low-end and sparkling highs. The speaker response lends itself perfectly to the tonal versatility of the amplifier, with clean players loving the articulate notes produced and those who prefer heavier styles loving the thunderous low-end energy.

Built-in reverb

The Blues Junior IV is home to Fender's built-in spring reverb, but has received a subtle tweak that smooths out its response to ensure immaculate response at any level. Tone-sculpting is easy thanks to the readily accessible front-end control panel, featuring chicken-head style pointer knobs in ivory. Across the control panel you'll find a designated Reverb knob, which enables you to dial in just the right amount of reverb. From a subtle snapback to an enveloping soundscape, you couldn't ask for anything better suited to your amp's character.

Standard Blues Junior features are present and correct, including the moulded plastic strap with nickel-plated caps that is reinforced using steel to maximise stability when you're carrying it around. The red jewel pilot light offers that reassuring glow on-stage. The solid 3/4-inch particle board cabinet is protected by a black textured vinyl covering, whilst the lightly-aged silver grille cloth adds a vintage touch to the finish.

The Fender Blues Junior IV Guitar Amplifier Combo will partner beautifully with any electric guitar, and is perfect for recording in the studio, and/or performing on the stage. The lightweight and portable design makes it easy to take with you wherever you go, whilst the tones it produces are the stuff of dreams.

Posted on 27/02/2020 by I bought this for a clean tone and it did not disappoint. If you find that sweet spot on the edge of break up and get the EQ set right it sounds beautiful. Very warm with sparkling highs that are not even a bit harsh.. oh and the spring reverb is really lush. Def worth the money.
