The Fender Champion 40 is a simple to use and incredibly versatile combo guitar amplifier, that delivers a selection of warm tones that are perfect for practising and performing. The Champion 20 has been designed as the perfect all-round portable guitar amplifier to get you rocking out with minimal fuss.

Power through efficiency

The solid state design features a two channels: Blackface Clean and a Selectable Amp Voice channel. The Blackface Clean offers the beautiful, customary Fender clean tone with plenty of mid to high range clout. The selectable amp voice channel allows you to dial in specific amp voices - tweed, blackface, british, metal - to suit the style of music you are playing from country to jazz to metal.

As well as having optional amp voices to choose from the Fender Champion 40 offers a wide range of effects - reverb, chorus, flange, delay, tremolo - that can be dialled in separately with a Tap button to control the timing of the effect and an effect level knob to control the wet/dry signal mix. Not only that but there are individual treble and bass tone controls so the amount of power you have to shape the signal is incredibly impressive.

The specially designed 12" speaker can easily handle whatever you run through it, making it ideal for someone looking for an amp that responds well to many different musical styles and is powerful enough to hold its own against other instruments.

The Fender Champion 40 comes with a 1/8" headphone output so you can practise your chops day and night without annoying the neighbours. There is also an 1/8" inch auxiliary input so you can connect an external media device and play along to your favourite songs or practise with a backing track.

Posted on 21/09/2019 by This amp blows my mind there are so many setting and so many different ways to utilize it. I stay on the middle floor of an apartment building and I can't put the volume past 2 without it being loud enough to annoy the peoples around me but I'm guessing cranking this bad boy up will blow you away :) Honestly I've been like a kid at christmas playing with every setting and finding some mad sounds. This is a great amp multi purpose can be good for small gigs and at home practise and for 150 you are grabbing yourself a bargain!
Posted on 18/09/2019 by So this amp looks amazing but one flaw with it is that when ordered for the UK I am given a European plug which has put me in a position of having to go buy a new wire just to see if it will turn on. Will update once I find out more about it
Posted on 11/12/2018 by Having played professionally for just over fifty years and owned quite a few amps in my time, mostly Fender I must admit, I thought I'd check out the Champion 40. No regrets whatsoever. In fact, I was so impressed I also bought the Champion 20.
Both amps are worth every penny.... the 40 is used on most of my band gigs and the 20 on solo, duo or trio outings. They are extremely light to carry but can be exceptionally loud - seriously!!!
May I suggest that you ignore those 'so called' experts who tell you these are only practice amps for beginners, they're way beyond that. The Champion 40 is more than worthy of your attention.
Posted on 15/11/2018 by Would highly recommend this amp. Great amp at a great price
Posted on 21/06/2018 by Love this amp. Nearly went for the Champion 20 as I only wanted a practice amp, but so glad I went for the Champion 40 instead. Well worth the extra money for the extra wattage and two channels. The second channel is extremely versatile, allowing you to choose from 4 different voices (each of which is variable from clean to dirty) and you can add loads of different effects too. Great service from staff at Dawsons Leeds too.
Posted on 26/03/2018 by Really pleased with this amp. I chose this over the Mustang 1 as I found it so much more intuitive to use. Tone on clean channel is classic Fender. Channel 2 offers 12 great voices that meet all my needs and the effects on top are also great. It#s plenty loud enough to upset the neighbours, but fortunately also sounds great through headphones!
Posted on 21/07/2017 by for the price great amp, had it couple of months now and still learning,so many different affects goin on, its a belter
Posted on 21/02/2016 by Top brand giving great sound & effects at a excellent price. Packs a punch. Quality assured!!
Posted on 06/03/2015 by This is a workhorse. This amp has some pretty good sounds, for the size. It's a great value, not just for the price, but for any price. You will not be disappointed
