The Fender Classic Series pays tribute to the great guitar designs they built in decades gone by, which started the whole rock n roll explosion!
A Fender Stratocaster is now an iconic piece of modern music history, and has largely remained true to its original roots but the Classis Series 70's model has all the vintage appointments and colour options to give a super-cool retro vibe. Built in Fender's excellent Mexican factory, these guitars are a great way of owning a vintage-looking Strat without having to pay the price of a now highly collectable original instrument.
The Fender Classic Series 70s Stratocaster has a 21-fret maple neck with distinctive "U" shape profile" and the love-it-or-love-it large headstock with 70's Fender decal logo. The 7.25 inch fretboard radius lets you know it's a vintage spec, as do the "Bullet" truss rod nut and 3-bolt neckplate with micro-tilt adjustment. The machine heads have the iconic "F" embossed on each unit to complete a guitar from an era that is as famous for it's quirks as it is for platform shoes.
A modern 5-way pickup selector switch has been fitted to get the "in-between" sounds, which were found by playing around with the original 3-way switch. Fender ship the Classic 70s Strat in a deluxe gigbag.
