The Fender 50s Classic Player Stratocaster Series has a specially selected alder body which gives the guitar a lightweight with a natural resonance. Add to this a set of professional quality single coil American Vintage Strat pickups which have been specifically selected for the guitar (wired with the middle pickup being reverse wound/reverse polarity - a desirable hum-cancelling feature) and you have a great combination. This guitar sounds fabulous, full-sounding with plenty of versatility.

The tremolo bridge has a silky feeling two-point pivot system as opposed to more a traditional 6-screw arrangement and again is intended to be an added benefit for slightly more aggressive vibrato playing styles and heavier string gauges. We think this is a very well thought about guitar that sits perfectly in the Fender range. Comes with a deluxe gigbag and has a special Custom Shop Designed neckplate.

The Fender Classic Player Series pours decades of world-class experience in guitar design into a simple and elegant working instrument.

Fender Custom Shop master builder Dennis Galuszka, who hand builds many of the guitars you see on stage in the hands of todays iconic guitarists, designed this guitar to be an affordable version of some of his creations. Although the model name contains the word "50's" that really only describes the basic vibe of the instrument which a single-ply white pickguard and a soft "V"-shaped 21-fret maple fretboard. A classy 2-Colour Sunburst finish completes the 50's visuals.

Posted on 26/02/2019 by I just purchased this guitar a month ago and I just want to say... WOW...this guitar rocks! Let me just say that for the last 20 years or so I have had nothing but bad experiences with the guitars that have come out of Indonesia and Mexico and that includes the prs se line, Epiphone and Fender lines as well. By the time you upgrade all the junk on them you have spent another grand or so and it still plays and sounds like garbage. This guitar comes straight out of the box looking good and playing like a champ. I can't believe I waited a whole year before pulling the trigger on this lovely piece. This guitar has that 50's reissue feel but with a 9.5 radius so it won't fret out, and for the price you just can't get any better. Hey Fender please put out a rosewood version of this guitar and I will buy a couple. I have many Fender custom shop and American made guitars and this ranks right up there with them... Finally a decent guitar for under a grand...good job Fender!!!
