Designed by Fender Custom Shop Master Builder Christopher Fleming, the Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster electric guitar delivers features and appointments that are usually reserved for Custom Shop models, at a price that makes them attainable at a fraction of the cost.

The instantly recognisable Tele' design has been crafted from a solid piece of ash, giving the Classic Player Baja a forthright energy with a focused midrange power. The body has been treated to a polyester finish for protection. Beneath the strings and around the pickups is a black pickguard that prevents unwanted scrapes from damaging the body top. Fitted to the body is a 3-saddle American vintage strings-through-body Tele bridge with brass saddles. The bridge guarantees a seamless connection between strings and body, ensuring optimum intonation and sustain.

Fitted to the body is a supple maple neck, which has a soft "V"-shaped profile - which is usually reserved for Custom Shop model - that is a delight to play along. Married to the neck is a 21 medium-jumbo fret maple fingerboard, which works wonderfully with the neck to deliver articulation and clarity that cuts through the power of the ash.

The Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster is equipped with a Custom Shop single-coil Broadcaster pickup in the bridge position, as well as a Twisted single-coil in the neck position. Control over the electronics come in the form of a master volume pot, a master tone pot, and a 4-way position switch that enables you to "solo" each pickup, or select both pickups simultaneously - either in series or in parallel. The range of tones on offer is absolutely mind-blowing, and you'll never tire of experimenting with the built-in S-1 switch to craft and shape your output to get the tone you desire..

The Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster represents the ultimate in versatility for the Tele' player. Thanks to the tonal versatility on offer, the sublime playability and the exquisite finish, this a true hot-rodded, vibe monster! Not only that but Fender have included a deluxe gig bag to keep your new pride and joy safe and sound.

Posted on 11/07/2019 by Purchased from Dawson's, received day after. Great service. I've had many guitars over past nearly 50yrs and still have a few, including fenders, Gibson's and Gretschs but without doubt although nowhere near my most expensive guitar must say it's my best and favourite. There's nothing this guitar can't do or be used for. Can't say further love it still, after almost a year, played every single day. Only thing I've done is change scratch plate to 3ply tortoise shell, looks stunning.

Posted on 15/12/2018 by I love this guitar. My first fender so it had to be a telecaster. Great tones and really easy to play. Highly recommend.
Posted on 12/07/2017 by I bought this guitar 3 years ago Its my first telecaster. I tried every tele they had tho this one blew my mind. It's s real versatile guitar. Also on a plus note i abuse the life out of the strings with countless bends and no matter what I throw at it. It never goes out of tune.
Posted on 15/02/2017 by This was my fourth guitar and first telecaster. I absolutely love it. The build, its warm full tones, its versatility and its sheer gorgeousness.
Posted on 23/01/2017 by Rest assured the guitar is brilliant. Better/more knowledgeable guitarists than me will attest to that if you Google reviews. Don't be put off by the fact it's made in Mexico, it feels and plays as good as any American I've played. Well worth the money considering you will pay hundreds more for an American model. It's for me the most versatile model of guitar, especially one that is known for its versatility. Extremely happy with it.

A word on Dawson's - had some questions pre-purchase via email which were answered rapidly. Unfortunately, the guitar was sent without the Fender gig bag, which comes as standard. A quick email and they sent one straight out. Mistakes happen, if they are rectified then no harm done. Good finance options and quick and painless to set up. Recommended!
Posted on 13/03/2016 by Second only to my 70s tele that I've messed about with myself for years, new pick ups, 4 way switch etc. Amazing sounding tele.
Posted on 29/11/2015 by This is no doubt one of the best Fenders ever made. The only thing that I don't like is that you have to remove the neck to adjust the truss rod. Other than that it is an amazing guitar with a super professional sound.
