The Fender Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass Guitar is a premium signature model based upon the 80's Jazz Bass Special Duff McKagan used on the recording of the seminal Appetite for Destruction album. With all the stylistic touches and player-friendly features Duff demands, this guitar is all attitude.
The Fender P-Bass is known for its comfortability and the Duff McKagan model is no different. With a double cutaway, you get access to all frets and the body rests comfortably against you whether you're sat in the studio or standing on the stage. The Alder construction gives you a well-balanced tone with pronounced upper-mid range making this bass ideal for a variety of styles.
Attached to the body is a 'Modern C' shaped quartersawn Maple neck which is eminently playable. The rosewood fingerboard adds warmth to your tone and is a joy to glide across, with pearloid block inlays and a number 12 at the 12th fret for added swagger.
To imitate that signature sound from many hit records the Fender Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass comes with a Fender Vintage-Style Split Single-Coil Precision Bass middle pickup and a Seymour Duncan STKJ2B Jazz Bass in the bridge position. These pickups are complemented by the Fender TBX (Treble/Bass Expander) tone circuit to give you a thunderous sound that can be shaped precisely.
The Fender Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass comes with a Hipshot Bass Xtender which allows for instant drop tuning at the flick of a lever. The Hipshot allows you to instantly tune your low E down to D and saves carrying around an extra bass or messing around with tuning in between songs, leaving you to concentrate on putting on great a show.
The tuning machines are Fender 70s Vintage-Style Stamped Open-Gear for that old school aesthetic and rock-solid tuning stability. Paired with a Single Groove 4-saddle, Pure Vintage 70s bridge you can rest assured you're always in tune no matter how hard you play.
