The Fender FSR Limited Edition 70s Jazz Bass Guitar brings back the classic character and style of the model that was the heart and soul of a truly dynamic musical decade. During the heady days when disco, funk, and rock filled the dancefloors and charts around the world, the Jazz Bass provided throbbing basslines and slick grooves that kept the earth moving. Now you can take that pioneering spirit to new levels with your very own 70s Jazz Bass. Each model is supplied with a deluxe gig bag to get you out and about in safety and comfort.

Cool Jazz Bass design

The Jazz Bass was designed to accommodate players who liked to play seated or standing, with an offset waist that provided a balanced feel in either position. The sleek contours of the body combine with the elegant lines to establish a snug, figure-hugging feel that suits anyone and everyone.

The limited edition '70s Jazz Bass is built using ash, a tonewood that is favoured by many bassists thanks to its sumptuous warmth and enthusiastic delivery. With a toe in the deep end and a smooth upper-mid response, you can make this beauty sing sweetly. The natural grain of the wood is exhibited for all to appreciate, whilst a protective coating of gloss allows it to age gracefully.

Chunky '70s "C" profile

Joined firmly to the body is a solid and durable maple neck, which is shaped to the chunky '70s "C" shape neck that allows you dig in when laying down sweet grooves. Married to the neck is a maple fingerboard, which produces sweet sounding notes with stunning clarity. The bound fingerboard accentuates the natural finish, whilst ensuring seamless transitions between each one of the 20 frets. Black block position inlays provide a subtle navigational aid, whilst the deep double-cutaway of the body removes any obstacles from your fretting hand's path.

American Vintage pickups

The Fender FSR Limited Edition 70s Jazz Bass Guitar is equipped with unique pickups that adhere to a period-correct design, right down to the wire. Whether you're performing straight up, no-holds-barred hard rock, or fancy a more laid-back funk/soul/R&B sound, this simple setup is surprisingly versatile. Studio work or stage performances are a breeze thanks to this expertly crafted little powerhouse that brings the Jazz Bass to life.

Gig-ready hardware

The headstock is home to Fender open-gear tuning machines, which work dutifully to preserve tuning integrity whilst the synthetic bone nut helps to uphold tension. The strings meet the body via the vintage-style bridge, which anchors each one securely for optimised intonation and sustain throughout the most energetic of performances.

Posted on 05/03/2019 by It's an incredible bass that sounds as good as the American Vintage 75 Jazz Bass. I'm so happy to have it. I had 12 basses I sold, some of them were boutique, very expensive, but I'm not sorry because my Fender covers all my expectations and needs. It sounds crisp well and covers a wide range of styles in music !!!
