The Fender FSR Limited Edition Roasted Ash American Vintage '58 Precision Bass Guitar in Natural finish resurrects the classic styling of the '58 model for modern bassists to enjoy. As an instrument that has helped to influence musical styles for decades, the '58 Precision Bass is a must-have for those who appreciate its place in history - as well as those who want a bass that looks awesome and plays like a dream.
Comfortable P-Bass body
The Fender American Vintage '58 Precision Bass is crafted using the roasted ash, which establishes a bouncing mid to low end energy. Shaped to the same curvy double-cutaway profile, the overall feel of the bass is balanced perfectly for all-round comfort. Treated to a slender yet resilient natural finish, the body resonates freely to create a huge sound whilst affording protection that enables the bass to age gracefully.
Smooth P-Bass neck
Fitted to the body is single-piece, roasted maple neck, which features a large "C" profile for a solid feel without becoming cumbersome. Married to the neck is a 20-fret maple fingerboard, which is decorated with black dot position inlays to guide your way. Shaped to a 7.25-inch fingerboard radius, your fingers smoothly roll over each string with the greatest of ease. Whatever your playing style, and however you choose to wear the Precision Bass, you can rest assured that your fingers will find their way without any problems at all.
Powerful P-Bass tones
The Fender FSR Limited Edition American Vintage '58 Precision Bass is equipped with an American Vintage '58 split single-coil Precision Bass pickup in the middle position. The beauty of this arrangement is that it has a very simple setup, with master volume and master tone pots on offer to shape your tones. However, though the setup may be simple, the P-Bass can produce a complex range of tones to play with, covering everything from rock to jazz, pop to funk, country to blues, and everywhere in between.
The body is home to a 4-saddle American Vintage bass bridge with threaded steel "barrel" saddles, which anchors each string securely for optimised intonation and sustain. The bridge and pickup each have a cover plate installed to match the vintage aesthetic. The headstock is home to American Vintage reverse open-gear tuning machines, which uphold tuning integrity with dutiful precision. Every model is supplied with a vintage tweed case to keep your bass safe and sound, whether you're at home or on the move.
