The Fender MIJ Traditional 60s Stratocaster GH RW in 3 Colour Sunburst is a limited-edition Japanese-built guitar that is the stuff of dreams. Taking its cue from classic Strats of the 1960s and infused with a modern flair, this rare model would make a worthy addition to any guitarist's collection. Each model is supplied with a gig bag to get you from home to gig in style.

Classic Strat style

Adhering to the classic design that established the Strat as the model of choice for so many guitarists, this model is a double-cutaway delight. Shaped with the same sleek contours and softly bevelled edges of the original, the MIJ Traditional 60s Strat is supremely comfortable.

The body is crafted using alder, a tonewood that is highly favoured thanks to its superbly balanced tonal output, which makes it highly versatile. Whatever style of music you decide to tackle, the Strat can take on anything.

Sweet Strat neck

Joined to the body is a supple maple neck, which is shaped to the "U"-shape profile feels substantial yet manageable in the hand. The 4-bolt neck joint ensures that the neck remains firm, allowing you to play with total confidence. The polyester finish prevents the neck from becoming sticky as you play, retaining a free and flowing feel throughout.

Married to the neck is a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard, which features white dot position inlays to guide you. Thanks to the deep double-cutaway body shape, every fret is within easy reach to maximise playing comfort.

Tasty tones

The Fender MIJ Traditional 60s Strat boasts a trio of vintage-style single-coil Strat pickups fitted in the neck, middle, and bridge positions. If you've been craving the richness of a 60s' Strat setup, it doesn't get much better than this. With a versatile tonal palette that is bursting with effervescent energy, this beauty allows you to navigate musical styles with gleeful abandon.

Control over your tone is afforded via vintage white plastic neck and middle pickup tone pots, as well as a master volume control. The five-position pickup selector switch allows you to pull different variations from the pickup arrangement, give you everything from a smooth, sultry, saturated tones to crisp and clean tones with an enthusiastic articulation.

The Fender MIJ Traditional 60s Stratocaster is endowed with a range of gold hardware, from the 6-saddle vintage-style synchronised tremolo bridge to the die-cast tuning machines. Everything carries out its task with dutiful precision, guaranteeing stable and secure tremolo and tuning accuracy. The body is complete with a 3-ply black pickguard to prevent unwanted scrapes and scratches from blemishing the gorgeous 3 colour sunburst finish.

Posted on 01/03/2018 by Sawdon1992 Just staggering quality at the price point and sounds fantastic. I have a 32 year old Fender Japan 1962 reissue strat with Basswood body but the Alder makes the difference to a more authentic slightly scooped tone. I wouldn't hesitate to buy any Japanese Fender - they are just better in my experience.
